Cowichan Climbing Academy

Cowichan indoor rock climbing centre The Cowichan Climbing Academy is a school affiliated climbing gym that opens up to the public a few evenings per week.

We are all ACMG certified instructors who teach students during the day volunteer our time to grow the climbing community. We are the only rope and bouldering climbing gym in the Cowichan Valley - so come out an say hi.

Congratulations to Cowichan climbers who competed in an inter-school bouldering competition at Stelly's Secondary on Monday, April 13th with students from Stelly's and Belmont Secondary schools. Cowichan climbers put on a good showing with the top 3 climbers in female - Margaret Perk (1st), Kaylee Bamber (2nd), Leah Bickhove (3rd) and taking 2nd and 3rd place in the male category - Jack Storie (2nd) and Isaac Montes (3rd).

Congratulations to Cowichan Climbing Academy athletes Jack Storie and Isaac Montes who competed at Sport Climbing BC Youth Boulder Provincials at the Richmond Olympic Oval at the beginning of Spring Break. Both athletes climbed well, with a 12th place finish for Jack and 16th for Isaac. Nice work!
