📣📣Cowichan Valley and Vancouver Island Community📣📣

Our club is looking to purchase a 20 foot Sea Can for mat and other equipment storage. It’s very much needed as mats take up a lot of space and we need to store them safely and properly.

If anyone has any contacts so we can get a great deal for our non profit youth sports club it would be very much appreciated! We’d definitely be happy to use it as a sponsorship opportunity as well!

Hello everyone,

Due to the recent fee increases announced by BC Wrestling Association, we have temporarily paused registration for the Junior and Senior Teams while we review how these additional fees will be applied to registration.

Please give us a few days to work through the details and determine the best approach to minimize the impact on your athlete’s registration.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. We’ll provide an update as soon as we have everything sorted out.

For children heading into Grades K–3 who are ready to learn, move, and have fun!

Our Fundamentals program introduces young athletes to the basics of wrestling through games, movement, skill development, and age-appropriate instruction—building confidence, coordination, balance, and athletic skills in a fun, supportive environment.

No wrestling experience necessary!

We’re excited to announce that registration for the 2026-2027 Cowichan Valley Wrestling Club (CVWC) season is now open! We are super excited to formally launch the year round FUNdamentals program which we piloted last season for our K-3 Wrestlers!

For the upcoming year, fees have been frozen, so this year season’s fees are:

FUNdamentals Program (Grade K-3): $137
Junior Program (Grade 4-7): $275
Senior Program (Grade 8-12): $385

October 14th: First Full Practice (Junior & Senior)

A massive Day 2 at the BC Summer Games for Zone 6!!! Zone 6 won the dual meet, beating the rest of the province in points, earning gold medals for the entire team!! Incredible job wrestlers and coaches!

As well, Zone 6 wrestler Brayden Zuback was awarded the W.R. Bennett award for athletic excellence. This award is given to only one athlete out of the thousands at the BC Summer Games and recognizes athletic achievement and leadership. Incredible accomplishment Brayden!

All these wrestlers and coaches made Vancouver Island/Central Coast very proud!

Zone 6 Vancouver Island Central Coast wrestlers had an amazing day today at the BC Summer Games! Zone 6 was number two 🥈 overall and number one 🥇for female wrestlers!!

The wrestlers had some excellent individual results:

Gold medal 🥇
Kate Grobbelaar (40kg), Inga Hollmayer (43kg), Lyla Boylan (61kg), Kennedy Bruno (69kg), Elyssa Olson (73kg), Brayden Zuback (55kg)

Silver medal 🥈
Olivia Hunter (46kg), Nora Murphy (53kg), Griffin Morse (80kg), Gavin Fong (92kg)

Bronze medal 🥉
Lidia Martinez (49kg), Amellia Korchinski (57kg)

All the other Zone 6 wrestlers also wrestled hard and made us proud! Huge shout out to all the wrestlers and to Coach Nick Zuback and Coach Heather Leslie for all their effort, expertise, and leadership!!
