The New Year is upon us and now is the time we start hearing about everyone’s “New Years Resolutions”. I’ve never been a New Years Resolution type of person but I do love “Goal Setting” and what I love even more than setting goals is making a plan to achieve them and then putting that plan into place and crushing them! So you do you! If you are a New Years Resolution type person or just a general goal setter this is the perfect time to reflect on the year you’ve had and focus on some of the positives we can take from the past year. What do you want this next year to look like. Set goals and make them happen. Happy New Year!! So much love to all of you and wishes for a year of health, happiness, and putting in the work to make it happen!

Procrastinate much?

Holy cow it’s already the end of February. Have you signed up for Monni's March bootcamps yet? We don’t blame you if you haven’t. Procrastination is a pretty common thing. After all, you’re getting this newsletter on the very last day of the month when we probably should’ve sent it and reminded you to sign up last week.

OOPS.

Hey, life happens. The thing about procrastination is that it literally means postponing something... in other words putting things off and doing them later. Good ol' Wikipedia tells us: "Procrastination is the action of unnecessarily and voluntarily delaying or postponing something despite knowing that there will be negative consequences for doing so."

It doesn’t mean not doing them at all!

That's the key.

So, yes we've all procrastinated a little this time around, but but here's our chance to make things happen. Consider this your friendly reminder to stop procrastinating and start making decisions that are in your own best interest!

Stop delaying putting yourself first. You are worth it NOW, not later.

Let’s make a plan to spring into March together and start loving ourselves as much as we love those around us.

What a beauty day!

Life is busy, crazy and so intense these days. But, my goal is to find the good in every day in order to keep a positive outlook on this wild ride.

Today while out for a hike I ran into a long time MSF athlete (so long she’s been doing my bootcamps since before I had kids!) She mentioned she had just hung out with me this morning (via an on demand workout!). Hearing these things makes my day!
A few days ago another MSF athlete reached out to let me know she has completed 100…yes you heard that right…100 🤩 MSF workouts in a row! Holy smokes talk about amazing! She said she is feeling stronger not only physically but mentally healthy and strong as well! I literally cried I was so happy and proud of her. This is the whole reason why I do this. We may not be training for a race, or a competition sometimes just training for life is enough motivation. So do what works for you! Get out, move your body, drink tons of water and eat good foods! You got this! 💪🏻

I think we’re all heading into this year with a little hesitation, not knowing what this year will bring. I find myself part way between “Let’s do this! This is my year and I’m gonna crush it!” and “Let’s just tip toe into this year quietly and wait to see what happens.”

Honestly I’ve been trying to write this post for two weeks!

I don’t want the focus this year to be “new year new me” but more a focus on “new year, same me with some serious goals to crush”.

Instead of trying to change who we are, let’s learn to find our strengths and really work within them. We don’t need to create a whole “new me”. Let’s just take this year to focus on being the best version of ourselves we can be.

Be kind, work your ass off and make it happen. Whatever “it” is for you.
