Practicing the timing and understanding the length of the ball are essential skills in the game.
Often, the safest strategy against skilled bowling is to simply evade it, as this minimizes the risk of getting out. Wearing protective gear such as a helmet, abdominal guard, thigh guard, chest guard, gloves, and pads provides a layer of safety.

However, if a batsman does make contact with such deliveries, it could result in an easy catch for the wicketkeeper or a slip fielder.

Our son's team won and he received the player of the match award-Cityscape grounds, AB, CA.
2nd Quadrant division Match played today Saturday 10th June! Calgary Southeast Warriors vs Southwest Bison's---Son had a crucial knock of 27 runs in 18 balls! He managed to connect 5 boundaries and one six run to complete the cameo!

He try to go on back foot to drive the ball and he got out by LBW (leg before the wicket) It was a nice and sharp turn in to middle and off stump leg-spin bowling by Warriors vice captain😃
But he made pretty quick runs, so it gave players to easily take the rest of the runs.
Absence of Bison's captain, our son take over and had a good win over warriors team😃
The first time he is captaining a cricket team! He did a good field setting and organized the batting line up according to the bowlers.
At mid-wicket he took a running catch to dismiss the warriors team captain. He won the player of the match award 2nd consecutive time.
