July scheduling is officially underway!

☀️ With the summer heat, I’ll be offering limited morning lesson spots, so those times will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. I currently have TUESDAY AM available & THURSDAY AM pending full. This will also allow me to be able to travel more in the evenings to your barns!

These group sessions are designed to introduce riders + horses to the ranch trail & riding events in a low-pressure supportive format!

Obstacles include:
✔️ Opening and closing a gate

✔️ Walking through a natural brush pile

All haul-in horses must provide proof of vaccination. Strangles and Rhino/Flu vaccinations are required.

Please note: The ranch trail patterns are created by me as an introduction to ranch trail and are intended to help riders and horses gain confidence with obstacles. They are not AQHA-approved patterns, as I do not have a bridge and currently use a rope gate rather than a standard gate obstacle. The Ranch Riding pattern is an AQHA pattern.

Friendly barn reminder! 🐴

I know it’s summer and flip flops are tempting, but please remember that closed-toe shoes are required in the barn for everyone—riders, parents, spectators, and visitors.

Horses don’t always watch where they’re putting their feet when they’re stomping at flies, and my insurance requires proper footwear on the property. Sneakers or boots are great; flip flops, sandals, and Crocs are not.

🌵 ONE WEEK AWAY! 🌵

We’re just one week away from our first Walk-Trot Ranch Trail Night, and we still have plenty of spots available for both lesson horse riders and haul-ins!

📅 June 12th | 6:00–8:00 PM

This session is designed for riders who are comfortable walking and trotting independently and are looking to build confidence with ranch trail obstacles in a fun, supportive environment.

Participants will work through a full ranch trail pattern, just without the canter component. Anywhere the pattern indicates a lope, riders will complete the maneuver at the trot instead. This is also the same pattern we’ll be using the following weekend during our ranch trail dates!

Obstacles include:
✔️ Opening and closing a gate
✔️ Backing through an L
✔️ Trot-over logs
✔️ Dragging a sled
✔️ Navigating a rain slicker obstacle
✔️ Walking through a natural brush pile

🤎 WELCOMING BUBBA TO THE PROGRAM 🤎

Please help me welcome Cam & Sandra Darling’s Skeets Carbon Copy aka “Bubba” to the lesson program! 🐴

Bubba is a 17-year-old gelding with years of experience in the NRHA pen, some ranch horse experience, and a fun personality to match ❤️ He’s the kind of horse that’s happy to meet riders where they’re at and will be a great addition to my lesson and ranprogram.

Since Bubba is a bigger boy than the rest of my crew, he’ll be a wonderful fit for larger children, adult riders, and my ranch nights! I’m so excited to add another safe, educated, and versatile horse to my program.

I’ve known this special gelding for nearly 10 years, which makes this opportunity even more meaningful to me. I truly couldn’t be more excited to have him in my barn helping teach the next generation of riders 🤍

JUNE RANCH NIGHTS 🤎

This month I’ll be expanding Ranch Nights to include a WALK/TROT session on June 12th! This group will still work through all the obstacles and maneuvers, just without the canter component, making it more beginner-friendly while still being a great introduction to the event.

The June 19th session is already FULL — thank you to my amazing clients for filling this one before it was even publicly posted ❤️

June 20th availability:

Ranch Trail
• 2 spots still available
• 1 lesson horse still available

Ranch Riding
• 1 spot still available for haul in

Each session is:
• $60 haul-in
• $70 lesson horse
(Tax included)

All haul-in horses must have current strangles & rhino flu vaccinations.****

Sessions begin with a warm-up before working through each obstacle, maneuver, and transition. Each participant will get to practice them before we do a run through of the full pattern, we’ll work through any problem areas, and riders will get the opportunity to run the pattern a second time. Afterwards, I offer video reviews for anyone who would like one!

• Ranch Trail patterns are intended as an introduction to the event and are not AQHA-approved patterns, as I do not currently have a bridge or metal gate.
• Ranch Riding sessions will work through an AQHA Ranch Riding pattern.

RANCH RIDING SESSION RECAP 🤎🐴

Due to a couple last-minute cancellations we only had two riders, but we honestly got SO much accomplished in a small-group setting!

This session included:
• trying flying lead changes for the first time
• learning how to turn a reiner
• practicing transitions on my well-schooled lesson horses:
extended trot ↔ collected trot
extended lope ↔ collected lope
lope to trot
lope to walk
Trot to stop
• sidepassing over poles
• improving body position & understanding how it affects the horse
• working on timing & feel
• focusing on pattern placement and show pen details

I’m super excited to welcome some new faces to the barn and can’t wait for the next one already ✨

May Ranch Trail Recap 🤎🐴

This month we switched things up with some fun new obstacles:
• picking up a rain slicker
• roping the dummy
• dragging a log through a figure 8
• backing through a chute

So proud of everyone who came out to ride, challenge themselves, and cheer others on! These nights are always such a fun atmosphere and it’s awesome watching both horses & riders gain confidence each session ✨

Thank you to everyone who came to ride or audit — I already can’t wait for the next one!

And this afternoon is our very first Ranch Riding session from 2–4 PM 🤠 Excited to add something new and continue building these fun, supportive learning nights!
