Team Androschuk

With the new curling season just around the corner and new teams taking to the ice, we thought we’d share where our Team Androschuk girls will be playing this season.

🥌 Sierra will be playing third on .
🥌 Rosie will be joining both Team M. Kennedy for U18 events and for U20 competitions.
🥌 Ella will be playing third on .

As for Kamryn, she has decided to step away from competitive curling. We are so grateful for everything she brought to Team Androschuk and will be cheering her on in whatever comes next.

While Team Androschuk may have come to an end, we’re excited to watch each of these athletes continue their curling journeys. We wish them all the best this season and can’t wait to see what they accomplish!

What a bittersweet post to make.

As many of you have probably seen from the new team announcements, this was Team Androschuk’s last season together. With Ella and Sierra heading off to different universities and Rosie still being U18 eligible, it felt like the right time for everyone to move forward.

When we brought Rosie onto the team this year, we never imagined how quickly she’d become such a perfect fit. It feels like she’s been part of this group for much longer than one season.

What a year it was. We started strong on the circuit, faced the disappointment of not qualifying for U18 Provincials, adjusted our lineup, and then went on to represent Alberta at the U20 Canadian Championships, finishing fourth in Canada. Through every high and low, we stuck together.

To our parents, families, supporters, sponsors, and everyone who cheered us on: thank you. None of this would have been possible without you.

To Callie, Rhiley, and Ashlee, thank you for stepping in when we needed you. Your support meant the world to us.

And Mike—thank you for seven years of coaching, believing in us, and always having our backs. You’ve celebrated every success, felt every heartbreak, and helped shape us into the athletes and people we are today. We couldn’t have asked for a better coach.

This team was so much more than curling. It was road trips, team dinners, Airbnbs, inside jokes, life lessons, and friendships that will last far beyond our final game together.

As we move on to new teams and new chapters, we’ll always be cheering each other on. Team Androschuk may be coming to an end, but the memories and friendships we’ve built will last forever.

Last Sunday we had the honour of being invited to the Curling Alberta award banquet, where Team Alberta 2 was recognized alongside the well-deserved Coach of the Year award going to our very own Mike.

We are so proud and truly couldn’t think of a more deserving coach to receive this award. Mike has put in so much time, patience, and skill to help make us better athletes both on and off the ice. Thank you, Mike!

We also got to have a little reunion and see each other all together again, which made the night even more special.

We want to give a HUGE thank you to Brazeau County for the Brazeau County Youth Sport Grant, which helped make our trip to Sudbury for U20 Nationals possible! We are incredibly grateful for your support and for helping give us the opportunity to be part of such an amazing experience, make unforgettable memories, and represent our community with so much pride. Thank you for believing in our team and being such an important part of this journey!

Fourth place

Coming into the week, all we wanted to do was soak in the experience and play our best at our first Nationals — and we’re so proud of how we did exactly that.

We unfortunately couldn’t bring home bronze for Alberta, but we are incredibly proud to have represented our province with pride and to have fought until the very last rock. It’s a bittersweet feeling as our season comes to an end.

We want to give a huge shoutout to the city of Sudbury for welcoming us, the ice makers for the incredible arena conditions, and all of the organizers, umpires, officials, and everyone who made our nationals experience unforgettable.

A big congratulations to Team Fortin (Quebec 2) and Team MacDougall (Ontario 1). We couldn’t think of better teams to represent Canada, and we’ll be cheering you on all the way!

Thank you to our parents for being our biggest supporters and always having our backs.

To Coach Mike — thank you for everything this week. From sitting on the side boards in the cold rink, to chatting with umpires, to being there with a helping hug when we needed it most. Your dedication never went unnoticed.

And last but certainly not least, thank you to Alberta. Whether you tuned into our livestreams, sent messages, or came out to watch in person — your support meant everything and made this experience so special 💙💛

Unfortunately we couldn’t lock down the win against Quebec, but we’re wishing them the best of luck in the final and will be cheering them on!

We’ve still got one more game to go — bronze medal game at 3 PM EST against Nova Scotia 1. We’re excited to get back out there and leave it all on the ice.

WE’RE HEADED TO THE SEMIS!!! 🤩

After a huge win over Northern Ontario, we finish round robin 7-1 and first in our pool, earning a bye straight to the semifinals!

We’ll take on the winner of Nova Scotia 2 vs Quebec 2.

Shoutout to our super spare Ashlee who got in for 3 ends 🙌 and a special appearance from Team NWT with a photobomb 😂

So grateful for all the support—bring on semis 💙💛

Last round robin game today… 👀

We pulled out a big win against PEI yesterday!! Before that, we had a much-needed brunch at Beni’s Breakfast & Lunch, then headed to the rink for game time. After the win, we enjoyed some family time and cheered on the Alberta boys team! 🙌

This is our final game before playoffs — we’ll keep you posted once we find out our seed. Let’s go!! 🔥
