We have been getting many requests regarding our goals and plans for the season, here is a brief outlook.

Blackout has one goal - placing in the top 8 at the Canadian Ultimate Championships this year (top 3 the following year). We are here to train, perform, and excel on and off the field with a group of athletes sharing the same vision.

Blackout will achieve this goal with the following program:

• Practices: Blackout will host two practices per week - Tuesday & Thursday. Practices will be largely focused around individual frisbee skills, team cohesion, drills and scrimmage.

• Tournaments: Blackout will attend a few tournaments during the summer to create team chemistry and bonding, most notably No Borders and Regionals. We will also attend smaller tournaments for additional practice such as Frisbeefest.

• Training: Blackout trains because we strive to achieve our primary goal of placing in the top 8 at CUC. Training is completed outside practices as we use practice time to perfect frisbee skills and strategies.

• Team Dynamics: Blackout respects you as an athlete. We grow as a team and raise each other to excel beyond our expectations.

• Lines Strategy: Blackout will run one O-Line and two D-Lines. We strive for consistent holds on offence and fresh D-Lines grinding break points. Offense wins games, defense wins championships.

Plain and simple, we are here to win and establish ourselves as the top mixed team in the Ottawa-Gatineau region. Speak to any of the team captains should you have any questions.
