Since there has been many questions concerning the operation of the gym . Due to the pandemic and the financial difficulties because of covid, having to have open and close the gym with also limited opening hours after the gym reopened, it became next to impossible for the DWTC's committee to keep up financial as well as with the dramatic drop of memberships due to the Pandemic over the past two years. There were also difficulties finding enough volunteers to fill spots on the board. So for these reasons after being run as a non-profit by the DWTC since first founded by Cleve Als, Mike Clement and the late Winston Roberts over the past 40 years, the gym will for the first time be run by the City of Dorval. We have confidence that they will continue to run it with the same TLC, (Tender, Love and Care), that was formed ,and with the personal care that was put into the gym by the founders. A Big Thank You to Mike Clement and all those who put in countless hours of volunteering over the past many years. And a special thanks to Mike and Jojo for the work they put into moving the old gym to it's new location and making it happen. Also thank you to many of our loyal Members who became like family over the years

pour les membres qui ne souhaitent pas prolonger leur membership,
Vous devez faire une demande par écrit au [email protected]
Les remboursement se feront au prorata des mois non utilisés durant les fermetures.
Des frais d'administrations de 15$ et de 10$ pour les Key tags s'appliquent.
Possibilité de retour des Key tags s'ils sont en excellents états.
Un délai pouvant aller jusqu'à 6 semaines est à prévoir

Reimbursement wil be applied at a prorata of the unused months during which the Gym was closed.
Administrative fees of 15$ and 10$ for the KeyTags.
Possibily of returning the Keytags if in excellent condition.

Message important

Bien que nous nous réjouissions de l'annonce gouvernemental d'ouverture des gyms, après une année complète de pandémie. Celle-ci a influencé grandement la situation financière déjà précaire du Club de Poids et Haltères de Dorval. L'heure est actuellement au bilan afin de définir l'approche pour les prochaines années.

La situation financière déjà précaire du Club de Poids et Haltères de Dorval a été grandement fragilisé par la pandémie plus que nous avions anticipé en mars 2020. Nous sommes malheureusement contrains de suspendre les activités faute de ressources financières. Nous sommes présentement en pourparlers avec la Cité de Dorval, afin de trouver une solution permanente aux problèmes financiers du Club de Poids et Haltères de Dorval.

Important message

While we are pleased to see the government loosening public health restrictions regarding gyms, a year into the pandemic, the DWTC's revenues have been severly affected and time has come for the DWTC to define the approach we will take for the years to come.

The DWTC's financial situation, which was already precarious has been severely weakened by the pandemic and much more so than anticipated in March 2020. We are sad to announce that we will not be able to resume activities due to lack of financial means. We are actively cooperationg with the City of Dorval to find a long term financial solution to be able to resume our activities.
