Aspen was my first horse. I bought her for a cup of coffee as a yearling when I was only a teenager myself. I'm 28 now and she is absolutely my best friend! We have done everything together and she has been the best horse a man could ask for ❤️
Due to a severe condition of my spine and multiple failed surgeries, I had to give up riding (was formerly an eventer + dressage). My current goal is to get back out with her and just enjoy some trail riding at the walk. I trust her with my life, and while arena riding is behind me, I'd love to still enjoy getting out with her.
I have been wanting a western saddle for this, however it has not been something in the budget. This would be amazing! Thank you for the consideration.

What’s changing for Boarders?
Under Taylor’s ownership, there will be some fresh adjustments to the boarding program, moving away from mandatory lesson packages to offer more straightforward, custom board options!

✨Outdoor board $400
✨Hybrid board $500
✨6 Day Care Care Package $100

Whether you choose outdoor or hybrid board, the following is included:

✨24/7 turnout in a herd on a larger acreage without crowding.
✨Constant access to forage and high quality netted round bales
✨Fresh water dumped and scrubbed daily. Multiple troughs in each herd. Heated all winter.
✨Use of facilities, storage, and additional services.

Hybrid only:
✨Designated stall for severe weather and personal use.

6 Day Care Package:
✨1x grain feeding and blanketing if needed (at time of feeding). Monday-Saturday

We get so consumed by the fear of making a mistake that we cling to comfortable habits, even when they stop us from growing.

It rarely looks like panic. Instead, it shows up as overthinking, stiff hands, and holding on just a little too tight.

​"Don't let the fear of doing it wrong block you from getting it right."

​Real progress requires a willingness to ride through a few messy moments. It means letting go of the safe way so you can discover the effective way.

​Stop riding to avoid mistakes. Give yourself and your horse the freedom to actually get it right.

I know these aren't exact comparisons in terms of photo angle- but i thought it was long over due for an Eden update!

Its hard to see how skinny she was under that winter fluff, but trust me when I say she has put on hundreds of pounds!

A bit further to go but weight gain is unfortunately a slow process- especially with older horses. Very happy with the progress made so far 🤩❤️

✨️️Nice facilities are NOT an acceptable excuse for lack of care or bare minimum necessities being met!!✨️

Lately, I have found myself thinking a lot about what people consider a “good” horse facility.

A beautiful indoor arena
State of the art stalls and facilities
Manicured fields
A long list of show accomplishments
Expensive horses with imported bloodlines
Ribbons
Titles
Trainers/coaches with an impressive resume

None of those things are a substitute for proper horse care.

It genuinely shocks me how often obvious welfare concerns are overlooked because the facility is fancy, or because the trainer is successful in the show ring.

There seems to be a belief that if a horse is performing, then it must be happy and well cared for. Unfortunately, that is simply not true.

The absolute MINIMUM standard for a horse to thrive is very simple:

24/7 unlimited access to quality hay

24/7 unlimited access to fresh water

Ample turnout with other horses, without overcrowding

These are not luxury items. They are the FOUNDATION and REQUIREMENTS of horse welfare.

If those basic needs are not being met, the rest does not matter. The size of the indoor arena does not matter. The show record does not matter. The trainer’s title does not matter. The price tag on the horse does not matter.

A horse does not care how fancy the barn is. A horse cares whether it can eat, drink, move freely, and live socially.

I would choose a modest facility that consistently meets those needs over a world class facility that does not, every single time.

Good horsemanship starts with meeting the horse’s basic physical and mental needs first. Everything else comes after that.

If prestige, glamor, and pride come first to you, then you need to pick a different sport.
