The Amundson Outdoors 8wt fast-action fly rod, known as the Miramichi Demon, has been awakened for pink salmon season.

Many beaches from Nanaimo to Campbell River on Vancouver Island’s east coast have staging salmon, but finding them can be tricky. Experienced fly anglers often keep journals to remember which beaches are most productive. Still, there are no guarantees because the weather can change where the salmon are. This unpredictability is part of what makes fishing exciting—the hunt, the discovery, the stalk, and finally, the catch.

My journey began in 2014, when a friend recommended me due to my expertise in both tidal and non-tidal fishing, my active social media presence, and my record of independent product reviews and editorial articles supporting the angling community.
My initial opportunity arose with Amundson Outdoors Ltd, my primary sponsor. Over time, my dedication and professionalism enabled me to secure additional sponsorships.
