What can I say besides this whole week has been an amazing experience made possible by amazing people and a location that proved to be a perfect blend of challenging and beautiful. Thank you Lac La Biche Lakeland Archers for hosting Nationals.

Today wrapped up the Target championship of Nationals. Yesterday was the qualifying round being 720 and today was the Eliminations portion. Yesterday I shot well, especially after an oh so very common for me, the mistake of shooting an arrow at the wrong target.... Oops. On the up side it was a beautiful 10 lol. On the downside I had to claim it as a miss because well it wasn't my target. I did the same as some will recall at Provincials. Another upside is I didn't let it drag me down and I shot even better than I did at Provincials (640) with a 654. I'm super pumped that even though I didn't place the top ten in target that I didn't become my own worst nightmare. Today I lost in my first round of eliminations to Trevor K***z how shot amazing and did a great run to the semi finals. Great shooting Trevor .
I had the goal not to come last and I achieved that. Never being at Nationals before I thought that was a good goal.

Thank you to my Coaches Wade Richmond and Scott Gordon for all the hours you both had put in kicking my butt to be able to achieve this. Thank you to Kill'n Stix for arrows that I feel are second to none and the support, I'm not done yet I feel I'm just getting started. Also thank you to all the Archers that were able to attend and make this an unforgettable experience. New friends and old for advice and a lot of laughs. Congratulations to all the Archers, the ones who made the podium as well as those that didn't.
Now to get to work for self improvement on my game and best believe I'm gonna raise the bar at the next.

This has been an incredible week for personal bests and experiences at Nationals.
The field competition was first with Unmarked being the first 12 targets. Something I spent only a week at our home range doing. Turns out the coaching I received from Scott Gordon on how to properly judge the distance, I can retain lol. It worked and I felt extremely comfortable shooting it, now remembering to move my sight the proper way on the 12th target is another issue that I will be practicing as well as other issues I'll highlight a little later because hey if I'm gonna mess up I'm gonna make it count lol.
I scored a 183 in unmarked and a 181 in Marked Field for a total of a 364. Shot with a great group of guys and had a lot of fun and laughs along the way. In Unmarked I didn't adjust my sight the right way on the last target and I ended up with a miss. I placed 9th in the qualifying and then moved into 8th after winning my first round but falling in the second to the Number 1 ranked shooter who ended up winning gold. It was an experience that I can say I learned a lot from and I definitely loved it. The courses (yes three different ones) were very challenging and really cool shooting locations. Shooting at a target in a tower is definitely a new one for me...... More to come about the Target championship tomorrow.

This last weekend was a blast. Had a great weekend shooting in the 2025 Sask. Outdoor Provincials Championship. I started off Average for my 720 because stupid me didn't check the target I was aiming at, and shot the wrong target.... Oops (beauty of a shot though lol) then was in my head about it. My Kill'n Stix arrows flew perfect and my bow shot amazing.
Sunday was the Field championship and was approached to switch to Compound Unlimited for competition sake. I left my bow set up exactly how it was and shot incredible, especially with how the weather conditions were. My lens was misted up and was like looking through an aquarium but thanks to the amazing coaching iv had from Scott Gordon and Wade Richmond I was able to set a new personal best and take Gold with a 371.
Everyone shot amazing given the conditions and the outdoor range looked amazing. Thanks to Thunderhead Archers and the many volunteers from surrounding clubs for the many long days of work you put into the new setup and the smooth running events.

Regionals are in the bag with a new Personal Best of 566 out of 600. Came out strong with a 285 in the first half. Had a few punching issues but shook it off and kept running. Missed the middle on shots by millimeters. Still very happy with how I shot. Thank you Delisle Thunderhead Archers for hosting and everyone that showed up for a lot of fun.

A huge shout-out to Kill'n Stix. Just received my new Tournament Series Kill'n Stix arrows and signed on as a Field Staff Shooter. Very proud to represent them as I shoot.
Arrows are beautiful, I just received them, built them up to my shooting style and damn they fly nice and look real good. Didn't get my fine tuning done before a 25m 600 today but decided I was gonna shoot them anyway. They didn't disappoint. Not my highest score but a 551 is a pretty good test at a quick adjust and go. After the shoot I adjusted back to 18m and am shooting pretty clean. Thank you Kill'n Stix team.

A couple of late pics from the field shoot on Sunday. Shot with some amazing Archers. Can't wait to shoot again with all of them. These two pics I had a nice tight group in the middle. Felt great and the bow did amazing.

A beautiful night to shoot some arrows. Working out some minor issues but she's coming along nicely. Love shooting this bow.
