Ontario Provincial 13U Championship Tournament

Dresden’s Henry collected three hits in three at bats, as the Dresden Tigers defeated the Delhi Tigers 16-1 on Saturday at Saugeen Shores - Lamont 1.

Henry singled in the third inning, doubled in the second inning, & singled in the third inning.

The Dresden Tigers won thanks in part to 15 runs in the third inning.

The Dresden Tigers were the first to get on the board in the first when a steal of home scored one run.

Jace started on the bump for the Dresden Tigers. The starting pitcher surrendered four hits & one run over four innings, striking out two & walking one.

Grant started on the mound for Delhi. The pitcher surrendered six hits & seven runs over two & two-thirds innings, striking out one & walking three.

The Dresden Tigers tallied 10 hits in the game. Vaughn went 2-for-2 at the plate & led the team with four runs batted in. Jace collected two hits for Dresden three at bats. The Tigers had a strong eye at the plate, tallying seven walks for the game. Owen & Spencer led the team with two free passes each.

Quintin & Henry each stole multiple bases for Dresden. The Dresden Tigers ran wild on the base paths, collecting 10 stolen bases for the game.

The Delhi Tigers Aiden went 1-for-2 at the plate & led the team with one run batted in. Liam led Delhi Tigers with two hits in two at bats.

And with that the Delhi Tiger 13U REPs finished their season.

All players should be proud of their season, as we certainly are!

Ontario Provincial Championship Tournament - Valley East (Sudbury)

The Delhi Tigers couldn't keep up with Corunna Giants & fell 11-1 on Saturday at Terry Fox Sports Complex - Field 3.

The Corunna Giants opened the scoring in the bottom of the first thanks to three singles. Corunna first got on the board when Trent singled, scoring one run.

Corunna added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Mason singled down the right field line, Trent walked, Lukas doubled down the right field line, & Asher singled to right field, each scoring one run.

Max stepped on the bump first for the Delhi Tigers. The pitcher gave up six hits & four runs over one & one-third innings, striking out one & walking one.

Koen led things off on the mound for the Corunna Giants. The hurler allowed four hits & one run over four & two-thirds innings, striking out six & walking two.

Bodhi led the Delhi Tigers with one run batted in. Lincoln went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Delhi Tigers in hits.
Lincoln’s quick feet stole two bases.

The Corunna Giants collected 14 hits in the game. Lukas drove the middle of the lineup, leading Corunna with three runs batted in. The first baseman went 2-for-2 on the day.

Their leadoff hitter Brayden led
the Giants with three hits in three at bats. Both Mason’s each collected multiple hits for the Corunna Giants.

And with that the Delhi Tiger 11U REPs finished their season.

This mainly 10U roster, shows great promise to learn what they have, in their first year with live pitching.

The Delhi Tigers had trouble keeping up with Welland Junior Jackfish in an 11-1 loss on Friday at Terry Fox Sports Complex - Field 4.

Welland Junior Jackfish got on the board in the first inning after Noah grounded out, scoring one run.

Adding two runs in the second after Médrick singled down the right field line. They extended their early lead with five runs in the bottom of the third thanks to RBI singles by Noah, Vinny, Luke, & Noah.

Chase opened the game for the Delhi Tigers. The hurler gave up zero hits & one run over one inning, striking out two & walking two.

Preston stepped on the bump first for the Welland Junior Jackfish. The pitcher surrendered one hit & one run over two & two-thirds innings, striking out two & walking two.

Chase & Dillan each collected one hit for the Delhi Tigers. Alec & Dillan each stole multiple bases for the Delhi Tigers. The Delhi Tigers ran wild on the base paths, tallying six stolen bases for the game.

The Jackfish accumulated 12 hits in the game. Noah, Luke, & Cooper each collected two hits for Welland. Noah led the Jackfish with three runs batted in.

The center fielder went 1-for-2 on the day. Vinny, Jahnessa, Finley, Jaemin, Luke, & Noah each stole multiple bases for Welland. All told they stole 17 bases in the game.

Liam’s Big Day Propels the Delhi Tigers Past the Ingersoll Ironbirds

Liam drove in four runs on three hits to lead Delhi Tigers Rep past the Ironbirds 16-4 on Friday at Lamont Sports Park. Liam hit a home run to left field in the fifth inning, scoring three runs, & singled in the first inning, scoring one.

Delhi Tigers jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Grant singled, scoring one run, followed by Liam & Carter both singling, both scoring one run, followed by Kaiden singling, scoring two runs. Emmit drew a walk, scoring one run, rounding out 5 runs in the 1st inning.

The Delhi Tigers extended their early lead with two runs in the top of the second thanks to RBI singles by Braydon & Evan.

The Delhi Tigers added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Aiden doubled to left field, & Max balked, each scoring one run.

The Delhi Tigers scored six runs on six hits in the top of the fifth inning. Cohen scored after tagging up, Liam homered to left field, scoring three runs, Kellan grounded out, scoring one run, & Kaiden singled, scoring one run.

Liam earned the win for Delhi Tigers. The pitcher allowed two hits & four runs over two & two-thirds innings, striking out eight & walking eight.

Maximus took the loss for Ingersoll Ironbirds. The pitcher went two-thirds of an inning, surrendering six runs on four hits, striking out one & walking five.

Aiden pitched two & one-third innings of zero-run ball for Delhi Tigers in relief. The reliever allowed zero hits, striking out two & walking five.

The Delhi Tigers Rep piled up 15 hits in the game. Kaiden, Aiden, Carter, & Braydon each collected multiple hits for the Delhi Tigers. Emmit paced Delhi Tigers with four walks.

Overall, the team had patience at the plate, accumulating 11 walks for the game. Carter, Liam, & Emmit each stole multiple bases for Delhi Tigers. The Tigers ran wild on the base paths, piling up 13 stolen bases for the game.

Maximus drove the middle of the lineup, leading Ironbirds with three runs batted in. The cleanup hitter went 1-for-3 on the day. Ryder & Maximus each collected one hit for Ironbirds.

Ironbirds had patience at the plate, amassing 13 walks for the game. Declan & Keegan led the team with three free passes each. Ryder stole two bases. The Ironbirds ran wild on the base paths, piling up eight stolen bases for the game.

Game Goes Down To The Wire As Delhi Tigers Lose To Clinton Mustangs On Final Play

The Delhi Tigers fell to the Clinton Mustangs 9-8 on Friday on the final play of the game. The game was tied at eight in the bottom of the seventh when Koen singled, scoring one run.

The Clinton Mustangs rallied for the victory despite trailing 6-0 in the fifth.

The Delhi Tigers got on the board in the top of the second inning after Braydon singled down the left field line, & Lincoln grounded out, each scoring one run.

The Clinton Mustangs tied the game in the bottom of the sixth thanks to a single by Wes, a single by Koen, & a walk by Dallas.

A double by Grant gave Delhi the lead, 8-6, in the top of the seventh.

The Clinton Mustangs captured the lead, 9-8, in the bottom of the seventh after Ryan tripled down the left field line, Hudson singled to the left side of the infield, & Koen singled to the right side of the infield, each scoring one run.

Reid C earned the win for Clinton Mustangs. The starter gave up two hits & two runs (one earned) over two & two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking one.

Emmit took the loss for Delhi Tigers. The pitcher went six innings, giving up six runs on 12 hits, striking out five & walking two.

Braydon led Delhi Tigers with three runs batted in. The left-handed hitter went 2-for-3 on the day. Liam, Braydon, & Grant each collected two hits for Delhi Tigers. Carter led Delhi Tigers with two walks.

Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, collecting seven walks for the game. Liam stole two bases.

The Delhi Tigers stole six bases in the game.

The Clinton Mustangs collected 16 hits in the game. Koen led Clinton Mustangs with four hits in four at bats. Reid & Koen each drove in two runs for the Clinton Mustangs. Ryan & Hudson each collected multiple hits for 13U Clinton Mustangs. Hudson stole two bases.
