U14 Boys Identification and Development Camp

CBMSA will be holding an Identification and Technical Development Camp on October 19, 2013, from 10:00 am to 11:30 am and 1:30 pm to 3 pm. This one-day camp will be used as an
opportunity
to assess potential players for the U14 Boys travel teams for 2014. This is an open session for all U14 Boys who wish to play competitive soccer next summer, either as part of a Mega Team or as part of a Western Team. If a player is not currently registered with CBMSA for the Fall Program, there will be a $20 fee for the Camp.
Players will be rated according to skill level and ability through observation during drills and game play. This list will then be used to identify those players who will be interested in either joining a U14 Boys Mega Team and/or trying out for the U14 Boys Western Team who participate in the NLSA provincial league each summer.
Next summer, it is a priority for CBMSA to participate in the U14 Boys Mega Tournament in August. In addition, a proposal has been submitted to the NLSA with suggestions on how to make CBMSA players’ participation in the Provincial League as part of a Western Team more manageable. While details are still being worked out, CBMSA would ideally like to see our Association represented both at the Mega Tournament and as part of the Western Team in the NLSA Provincial League. In order to achieve this goal, we will need players committed to playing on either the Mega Team or the Western Team next summer. This Camp will give us an idea of the level of participation we can expect so that plans can be put in place for team selection.
Enrollment in the Fall/Winter Program is strongly encouraged so that players keep a touch on the ball. There will be a final assessment camp at the beginning of the Spring Program, at which time, a roster will be finalized for the U14 Boys travelling teams.
