Communication
Service will be sketchy close to Northwestequest. We cannot guarantee prompt replies.

Directions
People have been led astray following Google and Apple maps. Please follow these directions:
If you are coming from the South, going through Shellbrook is best. From Shellbrook turn at HWY 55 north travelling through Canwood and Debden. Stay on HWY 55 for 25km past Debden. Turn East on Park Valley Road (Township Road 551). Drive 14km on the gravel. Turn north at the Lake Four Cemetery intersection. After 2km, turn East at the T intersection. In just under 2km, turn South at the ranch gate. The sign says Northwestequest. Turn left at the fence before you get to the yard. Parking and stabling is down the hill.

Etiquette and equipment
Lessons will begin at startbox. Please have a walk/trot warm up completed prior to your lesson. Remember to wear an EC certified vest for you and a neckstrap for your horse (old stirrup letters work well - please have them attached to your saddle).

Have you heard?? It's National Coaches' week in Canada!!! Coaches are an integral part in every sport, but in equestrian sports they play a special role. Coaches not only help riders and horses achieve their best, but they ensure safety, promote good horsemanship, and they help build strong relationships between horse and rider. In eventing, our coaches share multidisciplinary knowledge and guide horse and rider through all three phases. They also allow athletes to develop their confidence and bravery. Coaches are essential for success and for fostering a positive and supportive environment in sport. We want to recognize the amazing coaches around the province and the country that have allowed us to come this far, and to thank them for the countless hours they spend with us, helping us be the best rider and horseperson we can be. Please remember to thank your coach this week!
