The Community Services Department (Parks & Recreation) has a host of programs and recreation facilities open to everyone:

The Kenn Borek Aquatic Centre hosts not only two swimming pools, but also a rock climbing wall, an indoor playground and access to the indoor Wayne & Bev Dahlen Walking Track. The Kin and Memorial Arenas offer public skate, drop in hockey and dry floor drop in programs after t

Toonie Tots
9:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
A fun, easygoing drop-in program for children ages 0 to 6. Only $2.

Chair Aerobics
11:15 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
A gentle, low-impact fitness class for ages 55+ designed to support strength, mobility, and flexibility.

The City of Dawson Creek’s Culture & Recreation Department has temporarily relocated to the Kin Arena (1101 106 Avenue) as part of the City Hall Asbestos Abatement and Relocation Project.

The department will continue operating from the Kin Arena through early 2027.

Kids ages 8–11 can dive into a fun-filled week of water safety, games, creativity, and adventure at the Kenn Borek Aquatic Centre during National Drowning Prevention Week.

Each day features a new theme, including Tie-Dye Day, Clown School Day, Pirate Day, Lifeguard Day, and Movie & Fort Day.
