Well 2025 Trash Can Trash Can Bingo is done and dusted, we had record number entries in all classes, beautiful weather for the most part, great ground, and awesome volunteers and contestants. We honoured our beautiful friend Angie Bruneau again with the Angie Bruneau Memorial Race, awarded some pretty awesome payouts and prizes including a brand new prize in honour of a fallen heart horse, Suddenly Unleased sponsoured by Bonnie Huhn, The Horse with Most Heart award for 2025 went to Alexis Koenig’s absolute unicorn Chance.
Trash Can Bingo also saw a couple of new awards in honour of another very special cowgirl who gained her wings earlier than any of us would have liked, Ginger Parker Patton was the most encouraging and uplifting lady you could possibly have the pleasure to meet, and her passion for horsemanship was admirable.
This year very last minute I was lucky enough to find two amazing leather workers who helped create the most perfect prizes to honour our friend.
Kim Munroe sent a wild rag holder for our sportsmanship prize, and if you knew Ginger you know how much she loved her wild rags. We were so happy to award this to Veronica Dibb who is such an amazing competitor, she always has a smile on her face, is willing to jump in to help at any moment and is so encouraging to everyone.
And Escapade Leather Co. Created the most perfect halter featuring a crocus on the nose band and a teal halter and conchos all faves of Gingers, it couldn’t have been more perfect! We are so proud to have presented this award to Dawnette Rolling, who is one heck of a horsewoman, she comes out of the arena everytime with a smile on her face no matter what happens in her run, and a pet for her horse.
Things like these were never missed by Ginger.
Congratulations ladies.
And congrats to all of the other winners both in and out of the arena last weekend!!!
Now to start plotting for next years fun!!!
