There are 3 types : Everted, Flat, and Inverted (and unclassified)

Everted are the most common, and only about 10 to 20% have flat or inverted! 

It's totally normal to have different types of nips on either b**b!

Everted are the easiest type for babies to latch on to and bring breast tissue all the way back to the soft palate, while flat and inverted are more challenging but not impossible!

The shape and type of your nips can change during pregnancy so it is recommended to seek help with concerns with ni**le shape until the end of pregnancy or after your baby is born during a full breastfeeding consultation to help get your breastfeeding relationship off on a solid foundation!

Did you know that milk comes out of many holes in the ni**le and not just one!? The nip can have up to 20 openings for milk to flow from!

How did I choose my business name?

Magnolia flowers symbolize many things, some of which include endurance, perseverance, love and joy.

The Magnolia flower is not as delicate as it looks, and is resilient, they are known for adapting to many different situations. And finally, the Magnolia flower represents 'yin' which is is also the feminine energy.

I felt like all of these qualities and the symbolism fit so perfectly with pregnant mothers, and plus, what's smaller than a little tiny baby??

So that's how Little Magnolia came to be!

Hey everyone!

I'm Courtney Jacobs, I'm 27 years old, I am married to my husband of 6 years and we have an almost 2 year old son, we also have a fluffy white dog named Lily. I was born and raised in Dawson Creek but left for a short time to get my Bachelors Degree in Microbiology from the Univeristy of Victoria. I wanted to become a doula because I absolutely fell in love with pregnancy, childbirth, and being a Mom after my son was born, and I want to help other parents feel the same way about their experience, and I know alot of that comes from the support you have!

In my free time I love to cook and bake (my dawson peeps might recognize me from Cookie Crumbs and Glitter), and explore the outdoors and can't wait to pass on my love of the outdoors to my children

I can't wait to connect with you and hear how I can support you throughout your journey.
