Facts and benefits of Somatic yoga:
~ muscles are controlled by the nervous system sending messages to the brain.
~ the brain can learn new muscle patterns (from repetitive movements, muscle strain, injury, trauma and emotional tension.)
~ muscles may become tight and weak, causing pain.
~ somatic movements re-educate the brain to create new muscle pattern.
~ the only way to change muscle patterns is the involve the brain.
