Poundmaker 2026

What an exciting weekend we had, from relay to flat racing we kinda did it all. Saturday we won our heat in relay, we ran Paco for the first time as a starting horse. He did an excellent job for his first time being out there, we’re beyond proud of him! He’ll be ready for Enoch next weekend. And of course a shoutout to our vets Tannin and Kid for always standing and firing. On Saturday Bubba ran in the Greys Race with his new baby Ells, and boy he did not disappoint. He had a rough start coming out of the gates but quickly caught up after the second turn, to run away with it at the finish. Super proud of Bubba and Ells. Jay and Bubba also rode in multiple flats on Sunday, placing appropriately in each race. Sunday relay we were in the Championship, we sat our string of horses and our rider due to poor track conditions. Their safety always comes first. Using three different green horses we were still able to place second! What a fun weekend, always nice to watch the boys pop out of the gates and do good in the relay. Our crew is still going strong and pushing forward, we’re excited to be competing in Enoch this weekend at their $200,000 show! See yall there!🖤🤍

Saulteaux Western Days 2026

From relay, to rubber tire wagon racing to Jay racing in the Sheldon Poitras Memorial Mile lots of fun times were had and memories made.

The first day of relay we finished second in our heat, putting us in the consolation heat on Sunday. We finished first on Sunday and we couldn’t be more thankful or blessed. These horses have been through a lot as has the crew, so it feels nice to go out there and do what we love doing. These horses are our medicine and bring us more happiness than we could ever begin to explain. Thankful everyone stayed safe this weekend, our horses, rider and box crew. Thank you Jay for your excellent riding as per usual and thank you Tannin, Lovely and Kid for two solid runs this weekend, you all never seize to amaze us and we love you endlessly.

Colten and Kage went in the rubber tire wagon races this weekend, securing a first place on day one and a second place on day two! Way to go boys!

Jay and Reliability participated in the Memorial Mile and took a very close second, such a fun race to watch! Always a good time watching the boys come out of the gates!

Thank you everyone that come by this weekend, fans, friends and family it means the absolute most us. We appreciate your love and support always!

Also HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our Jay!! May God spare you for many many more years! We love you tons!

Shauna is one of the most talented people we know and she plays a huge part in our horses well being and keeping them performance ready. Good morning fans, friends and family! Well after what felt like a fairly short 10 days, Calgary Stampede has come and gone. Our Stampede was filled with ups and downs but at the end of the day our team is thankful for the opportunities and experiences that came with coming here for the first time. We’re proud of our crew and proud of our horses, we didn’t quite end up where we wanted to be after acquiring a no time our last run. But at the same time our horses, rider and ground crew did their jobs and won that final race. We’re blessed that all the horses and crew came off the track safely every night (minus a few bumps and bruises) so we’re happy with that. Thank you Calgary Stampede for putting on an awesome event, we will be back😉 Having our friends and family along with us was also extremely fun and rewarding, could not have done it without there help in the barn or at the track. We’d also like to congratulate Tyrell Mcgilvery on winning the Championship heat last night! We’re super excited for him and his entire family!
