🏔️ CRESTON VALLEY CLASSIC – EVENT 3 🏔️
🔥 EVENT 3: THE FLADHAMMER 🔥
The Fladhammer is a high-paced test of teamwork, strategy, and grit—blending a fast sprint-style couplet with a short, high-output finisher.
🏃‍♂️ PART 1 – FOR TIME (7:00 CAP)
Athletes will begin together with a 400m run performed as a team.
Once back inside, teams will split work however they choose across the following:
• 36/24 calorie row
• 30 box jump overs
• 20 single-arm devil’s press (total reps, alternating arms as desired)
Teams may divide all station work freely, but only one athlete may work at a time.
The goal is to finish all work as fast as possible within the 7-minute cap. If the work is not completed, total reps completed will be recorded.
⚡ PART 2 – 2:00 AMRAP FINISHER
Immediately following Part 1, teams will move into a 2-minute sprint-style AMRAP:
• Partner 1: 30 calorie row
• Partner 2: MAX reps dual dumbbell thrusters
Athletes may switch roles as needed during the 2 minutes, but only one station is active per athlete at a time.

• 10 Pull-Ups
• 50 Double Unders / 100 Single Unders

Athletes will alternate exercises completing all the reps while their partner waits. only one athlete may be working at a time, encouraging smooth transitions, smart pacing, and constant movement to keep the score climbing.

⚡ SCORE
Total rounds + reps completed within 12 minutes.
How long can your engine run before it overheats?

🏔️ CRESTON VALLEY CLASSIC – EVENT 1 IS LIVE 🏔️

The wait is over! Event 1 of the Creston Valley Classic is now live on Competition Corner.
🔥 EVENT 1: CENTER STAGE🔥

Athletes will work through a progressive deadlift ladder, with 20 seconds to complete each lift before advancing to the next weight. Four athletes will be on the competition floor at a time, lifting simultaneously as they battle to climb the ladder.

Athletes must successfully complete each lift to move on. If an athlete fails a lift, their event ends immediately and their score will be based on their last successful lift.

Team scores will be determined by the combined results of both teammates, making every successful lift count toward the team's overall standing.

Female: 205 → 245 → 275 → 305 → 335 lb

Every lift matters. Every pound counts.

The Creston Valley Classics coming up!

We’re just over a month out, and spots are starting to fill!

If you’ve been thinking about signing up, this is your reminder.🔔

This is not your typical competition.
You sign up as an individual, and on the day teams are drawn at random — one RX athlete and one scaled athlete. You won’t know your partner ahead of time, and you might be paired with someone from a completely different gym.

It’s three workouts, designed for all levels, and built around the idea that fitness is better when it’s shared.

Whether you’re in it to compete, try something new, or just be part of a great day, this event is for you.

And if you’re not competing, come down and watch!! The whole day is built around people showing up, supporting each other, and making it something more than just a workout.

Big things start next week. 💥

Our U15–U18 athletes are kicking off Sports Performance Training, and this year’s focus is SPEED. ⚡

NOTE: U13 -U15 Groups start end of JUNE

After working closely with the U15 Creston Attack throughout the winter, Brent and Marshall took time to reflect on what would have the biggest impact for athletes across all sports — and the answer was clear: speed changes the game.

Whether it’s hockey, soccer, basketball, volleyball, baseball, or any other sport, improving acceleration, movement efficiency, and explosive power gives athletes a competitive edge that carries into every aspect of performance.

This offseason, athletes can expect:
Speed development
Acceleration mechanics
Explosive movement training
Better movement habits
Performance-focused conditioning

We’re excited to get to work with this group and help athletes build the foundation for a stronger, faster season ahead.

Let’s go. 👊

A big shoutout to Alex on his birthday for this week’s Member Spotlight!

Last year, while we were still turning the fire hall into our gym, Alex did a drive-by and stopped in to say hello. He’d heard on Facebook that a new gym was opening and wanted to see if it was real, or just another Creston rumour.

After just a few minutes of chatting, Alex offered to help us get set up, and he grabbed a membership the second pre-sales opened.

Yesterday, Alex hit 500 visits in one year!

We’ve got a few members hot on his heels, but Alex is a dedicated fitness enthusiast — you can tell by the arms. Honestly, I think Alex has hacked Iron Soul. He comes in for open gym, stays connected with what’s happening around him, and is always open to learning from the coaches and athletes around him.

The result? Muscle-ups, improved technique, new fitness goals, and most recently, Olympic lifting.

But we don’t just love Alex because he’s here all the time. We love Alex because he perfectly lives out Iron Soul’s COMMUNITY value. He talks with everyone, asks about our kids and friends, and hypes us up when we’ve had a hard day. The coaching goes both ways with this guy and we're stoked to see what he does next.

Happy Birthday, Alex!
