Our Team gathered at Elizabeth Lake Lodge this past weekend to celebrate a successful season! It was great to have so many families come out for some sunny mini golf ⛳️

Although our regular training season has to come an end, we still have swimmers heading out to some BIG competitions in July πŸ†

Thank you to our swim families, swimmers, supporters, donors, coaches, volunteers and board of directors for a successful season of swimming in Cranbrook πŸ™Œ

It was a chilly and rainy weekend in Radium, where we competed outdoors at the Otters Summer Splash.
While the sun may have popped out momentarily, our athletes and volunteers were doing everything to stay dry and warm!!
Even with cold feet, purple lips and shivering bodies, they still put πŸ’― into every swim!!
Congrats swimmers!

A reminder that the large east Western Financial Place parking lot will be closed to vehicles Friday June 5, 2026 to permit new line painting. This work has been rescheduled a couple of times due to the recent wet weather.

Contractors will be painting lines during the evening, and the east lot will be fully closed. Please do not park any vehicles so crews can safely complete the work.

The north and south parking lots of Western Financial Place are still open to vehicles, as well as the parking lot immediately south of the Cranbrook Curling Club and north of New Dawn Place. Western Financial Place

The club hit the road over the weekend and headed to the Marlin Mercenary Madness, Long course, in Medicine Hat.

Hosted by AMAC - Alberta Marlin Aquatic Club, This was our first time swimming in this pool and we could not be more thrilled with the results!

There were so many new fast times, club records, medals and ribbons galore!!
Each swim just got more and more exciting to be a part of.

Our little club really showed up and represented. πŸ”±

The results are proof of the dedication and commitment the kids have made throughout this season.
Congrats to our 14 swimmers on a job well done!

Congratulations to our athletes Talya Spowart, Nian Liu & Amelia Mondin who are off to the BC Summer Games to represent our Team, the City of Cranbrook and the Kootenay Region in Kelowna July 22-26 πŸ”±

As well, our very own Head Coach Jackson Sorensen has been selected as the Head Coach for this prestigious event to represent our Region πŸ†

Also representing our Region as a part of this team are swimmers from the Elk Valley Dolphins Swim Club (Fernie) and Kootenay Swim Club (Nelson).

❗️Fun Fact❗️The BC Summer Games are hosted every two years. Our Club has sent qualified swimmers the last two times it was hosted and hope to continue to do so for years to come!

Here is more information on the games and how you can tune in or volunteer: https://bcgames.org/games/kelowna-2026/

We are so proud of our Athletes and Coaches and know they will represent us well! Congratulations - this is your hard work and training that has brought you here πŸ₯‡

Another Thank YOU! Throughout our season, we have run and hosted various fundraising campaigns. This season, we had a list of aging or new equipment we were looking to purchase to give our athletes the best training possible right here in Cranbrook!

As a result, we were able to purchase 4 additional Finis Backstroke Start Wedges. This now allows us to run a full 8-Lane Swim Meet and allow our swimmers to train with them on a regular basis.

But WHAT is a backstroke wedge you ask?

A backstroke wedge (or backstroke ledge) is an adjustable, non-slip device attached to a starting block that hangs in the water, providing a secure, angled surface for swimmers to push off from during backstroke starts.

Thank YOU for your generosity and continued support of our club πŸ”±
