BFT's Battle Of The Bats Slopitch Tournament & Fundraiser

It is with a heavy heart that we have to announce Battle of the Bats will be coming to a close.

While this was an extremely tough decision to make, we take comfort in the knowledge that we were able to make a positive impact in the community with the incredible support from all of you.

As much as we want to keep the legacy alive and continue to help ease the financial burden for families of local children going through hardship, it’s just not feasible for our tournament organizers at this time. We hope to one day spark things up again as the tournament and what it stood for meant so very much to us.

We want to send a heartfelt THANK YOU!!!! to the community, all of the teams and the many businesses for the unwavering support over the past 10+ years allowing us to raise a tremendous amount of money for local children and their families.

Unfortunately, the Battle will not be happening this year as originally planned. Our organizers have baby #2 on the way this summer and the time needed to make our event what it is just isn’t there for this year.

We will be back next year and want to thank everyone for the continued support over the last 11 years! We miss you and look forward to seeing you all in 2023!

Aaron Hansen will be running a tournament for this year the same weekend as we always run (2nd weekend in August) and will be raising funds to install lights at Moir Park.

Because we quickly sell out every year, having lights at Moir Park will be a HUGE benefit for our fundraiser/tournament in the future, giving us the ability to accommodate more teams and in return - raise even more money for an amazing local family in need!

Lastly, We have some new exciting things to share with you and some new fundraising effort ideas that we will be announcing in the near future so keep an eye on our page!

The day has come again that we must dish out the bad news….😭💔

The BATTLE will be once again canceled for 2021.

This decision was unbelievably tough because things are so close to being open but for us to provide the tournament with the high standards we have for it and that you have all come to expect, time is not on our side and things are still just a little too iffy.

The outreach in support of our tournament has been insane over this pandemic and we CAN NOT wait to give you all the BEST BATTLE OF THE BATS to date in 2022!!

This weekend marks 2 years since BFT left us.....it was a super hard weekend not being able to be out on the fields watching all the teams playing for him! You will never be forgotten! ❤️

Unfortunately, The day has finally come..... we have held off as long as possible in hopes of something changing so we could make the Battle of the Bats 2020 happen but it’s just not going to be in the cards for this year.

We wanted to say a HUGE thank you to all the sponsors/donors that actually reached out to us wanting to continue their support even in the midst of all the uncertainty of our current situation. If anyone would like to still sponsor/donate we will gladly accept and add it into next years fundraiser donation account as we look forward to making the BATTLE OF 2021 the biggest and best yet!!

🚨‼️BATTLE OF THE BATS UPDATE‼️🚨

🥎Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, the state of BATTLE OF THE BATS 2020 is still up in the air and is in a bit of a holding pattern until more information becomes available. We realize this pandemic has taken a huge toll not only families but our business community as well, therefor we will not be reaching out for sponsorship this year which has been the backbone of our tournament & fundraiser. With that being said, we have such an amazing ball community and know we could still raise a lot of money for a local family in need if we are able to host something, even if it looks a little different than it has in the past.

🥎We are hoping to have a decision regarding the status of the tournament by the start of July.

🥎We already have a list of teams waiting to register, if you would like to be added to that list, please let us know and send your team contact, email and phone number to ensure your spot if and when the tournament gets the go ahead.

Battle of the Bats would like to wish last years fundraiser recipient NEKO an extremely HAPPY 1st “HEARTAVERSARY”. It’s been one year since her last heart surgery! She has been managing with her meds and is still in a holding pattern where there is no surgeries planned. We can’t get enough of seeing this happy little cutie!! ❤️🥰😍
