I used to think I just needed to be more disciplined.
More consistent
Even more motivated
But the harsh truth is…
My body was exhausted from being in survival mode for years and years.
No amount of “pushing through” was ever going to remedy that.
What actually shifted things…
Was learning how to feel safe and secure in my own body again.
Slowing down
Resting without guilt
And definitely without permission
And not constantly overriding my body screaming at me.
And I see this so often with the women I talk to too.
They’re not lazy
They’re not lacking discipline
Their nervous system is just overwhelmed and never has a chance to truly rest
Does this resonate with you at all?
