Dive charter dates are here!!

We’ve got a bunch of boat dive days set up and we’re ready to go explore the sites around Campbell River! There are many stunning sites in Discovery Passge including Row and Be Damned and The Rock, as well as wreck dives, like the HMCS Columbia.

All charters are currently planned to be departing from Campbell River. Spaces are limited on each charter so if you see a date you want, grab it while you can!

Women’s Dive Day may have come and gone but that doesn’t mean we’re done celebrating!
Meet Izzy - another incredible woman of our dive community and a huge reason why Pacific Pro Dive is such a fun and welcoming place.

Izzy is originally from the UK, and if you’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting her, you know there are plenty of laughs, quick wit, and big personality. She also does one of the best impressions of an octopus we’ve ever seen!

As one of our Divemasters, she brings her love for the underwater world into everything she does. She leads by example in her care for the environment and the places we are lucky enough to dive. She’s always up for an adventure, especially when there’s something weird and wonderful to find beneath the surface.

We’re so lucky to have her humour, passion, and energy as part of our dive team.

Give it up for Izzy!

The woman behind it all - Robyn Fyfe!

Robyn took her divemaster training in the 80s, and after a 20 year hiatus, found her way back to the diving world to become an instructor. In 2019, she took on another huge adventure - she became the owner of Pacific Pro Dive!

There’s really nothing she can’t do. Whether it’s teaching new students, mentoring the staff and team of dive pros, organizing events, or keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes, Robyn somehow manages to juggle it all in a way that makes it look easy.

Her knowledge, experience and willingness to share both with those around her make her an incredible role model for the women and dive professionals who have had the opportunity to learn from her. She is truly an inspiration and proves there’s no one right path through this industry, that it’s never too late to come back to something you love.

Here’s to the woman in charge - our boss, mentor, leader, and friend. We are lucky to have you!

Did you know that women now make up more than 40% of recreational PADI certifications worldwide? Every year, more women are discovering the underwater world and finding a place within the incredible diving community. We are proud to celebrate the women helping shape its future.

Today, meet Leanne Penner! Leanne became an instructor in 2019, and after relocating to Courtenay, began teaching with us in the summer of 2025. Her enthusiasm for diving is evident in all that she does, and her fun energy ensures divers have a great time while learning from an experienced and capable dive instructor. Leanne has recently joined our in-store team, and brings that same passion and knowledge supporting our customers.

Did you know that the number of women becoming PADI Divemasters has nearly doubled in the last decade? Women earned fewer than 18% of divemaster certifications in 2015. Today, they earn over 30%.
As we count down to PADI Women’s Dive Day, we’re celebrating the incredible women who help make our dive shop what it is. Over the next few days, we’ll be introducing the women on our team who inspire us, support our community, and share their passion for the ocean every day.

First up - Lianne Dubuc! Lianne completed her divemaster training with us in 2025. She has since been leading club dives and assisting on courses. She is a calm and supportive leader, and her love of diving and the ocean is matched only by her love for animals - whether they have fins or fur!

Dutch inventor Boyan Slat and his nonprofit The Ocean Cleanup have already pulled nearly 50 million kilograms of plastic from rivers and oceans worldwide — and they're just getting started. Using floating barriers and autonomous collection boats deployed at plastic hotspots in rivers before waste ever reaches the sea, their goal is to stop 90% of floating ocean plastic by 2040.

As divers, we see firsthand how much these waters matter. We're endlessly grateful for the creative thinkers and determined problem-solvers who are finding real ways to protect them.
