THE WORK IS DONE. NOW WE GO COLLECT. 🥊🏆

Four fighters from Comox Valley Boxing Club are heading into a BIG weekend and we're not making the trip just to participate.

Ty Cunningham is fresh back from Montreal after training with the National Team and heads straight into the Provincials.

Cody Steeves is coming in HOT on a 5-fight win streak and dropping down to 154 lbs. New weight class. Same mission.

Win their divisions and they're off to the National Championships in November. 🇨🇦

Meanwhile, Michael Charalambidis and Kalin Segriff step into the Bronze Gloves. They haven't competed since June, but they've spent the entire summer grinding for this weekend.

No shortcuts. No magic formula. Just a sh*tload of rounds when nobody was watching.

And we're not planning on coming home empty-handed.

Huge thanks to Comox Valley Dodge for getting us there with a ride and Natural Pacific Resort for stepping up with new headgear and training gear. Our sponsors, coaches, families and everyone who gets behind these athletes make weekends like this possible.

I'll post results as they happen and keep an eye on the stories for all the behind-the-scenes stuff.

Four fighters. Two tournaments. One goal.
Bring some hardware back to the Valley. 🥊🏆

Parents:
Classes will be running as scheduled throughout the spring break. If your kid tells you something different, let me know and I'll create a special workout for them.

Youth classes will be open.
We train with gratitude.

💥 Celebrating 40 Years of Boxing Excellence 💥

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Comox Valley Boxing Club—a gym that’s been a cornerstone of our community for generations. We’re more than just a boxing club; we’re a family that grows champions both inside and outside the ring.
Our coaching team is the heart of it all:
🥊 With decades of combined experience, they’ve shaped countless boxers.
🥊 Coaches Anthony , Dawson and Myles started their journeys here, learning to throw their first jabs in this very ring. Now, they’re passing on the knowledge and passion they gained right where it all began.
🥊 One of our most beloved coaches Chantal, known for her kindness and warm spirit, is proof that you should never judge a book by its cover—she can deliver punches that pack serious power!
🏋️ I can honestly say that there is no one like our strength and conditioning coach Simão. Dynamic and creative workouts that can never be duplicated and the main reason our fighters never gas.
I am proud to be part of this great team and the 18 years that I've invested into the club is my legacy that I hope that will carry on for decades to come.
As we look back on 40 years, we’re reminded that our strength comes from our people. Thank you to everyone—coaches, athletes, families, and supporters—who’ve been part of our journey. Here’s to many more rounds together!

On this day...

'If every fight was 45 rounds, George Chuvalo would be the greatest boxer of all time.' - Rocky Marciano

Two time Heavyweight world title challenger and Canadian boxing legend, George Chuvalo celebrates his 86th birthday today.

Despite not capturing the Heavyweight World Championship during his career, Chuvalo is revered and widely respected, remembered as a man with an unbreakable spirit and willingness to face anybody in an era littered with legends.

Happy Birthday Champ, Many Happy Returns.
