UPDATE ON KAI 📣
Well, that’s a wrap on the 2026 BMX World Championships. 🇨🇦🌎
Going into Worlds, we truly had zero expectations. After the significant injuries Malakai suffered just a few weeks ago, our focus shifted from chasing results to simply being grateful he was healthy enough to be on the gate.
Before the injuries, he had a very different goal in mind. Unfortunately, circumstances forced us to reevaluate, and he came into this experience with as little expectation as possible—just wanting to give it everything he had.
Today, he proved that he deserved to be here.
He fought hard, pushed through every setback, advanced through his motos, and earned a spot in the 1/8 finals. While it would have been amazing to go even further, Malakai is genuinely proud of what he accomplished, especially considering everything he’s overcome.
Finishing the year ranked among the top riders in the world is something to be incredibly proud of. More importantly, he leaves Brisbane healthy, motivated, and grateful for the opportunity to represent Canada on the world stage.
Thank you to everyone who followed along, cheered him on, sent messages of encouragement, and supported this journey. It truly means more than you know. ❤️🇨🇦
Until the next gate…
We are incredibly proud of Kai!!!
