The CDSL strongly condemns the reckless destruction of the Gray's Creek soccer fields over the weekend. Frustratingly, this is now the third time these fields have been targeted and damaged like this. The construction and ongoing maintenance of these pitches is a proud partnership between the CDSL and the Seaway Valley Soccer Club, and seeing our volunteers' hard work ruined is incredibly disheartening.

This senseless act directly disrupts our community by displacing hundreds of players across several youth and adult programs. Because the deep tire ruts create a severe injury risk, teams are now facing delayed, relocated, or canceled matches and major scheduling headaches. On top of that, fixing this destruction will cost thousands of dollars—crucial funds that should be going toward new equipment and keeping family registration fees low.
