The Coquitlam Express Foundation is proud to announce that the Coquitlam Sr. A Adanacs have been added as a beneficiary of the Sixth Annual Coquitlam Express Charity Golf Tournament, taking place September 9 at Westwood Plateau Golf & Country Club.
The Adanacs recently captured the Western Lacrosse Association championship and will now travel to Ontario to represent Coquitlam and the WLA at the Mann Cup, competing for Canada’s Senior A box lacrosse championship.
It marks the first time in 19 years that the Sr. A Adanacs will represent Coquitlam at the Mann Cup.
With a significant financial commitment required to send a team across the country for a national championship, the Express Foundation saw an opportunity to support a fellow Coquitlam sports organization and help the Adanacs represent the community on the national stage.
“This is bigger than hockey or lacrosse, this is about Coquitlam,” said Tali Campbell, President and General Manager of the Coquitlam Express. “The Adanacs have earned the opportunity to represent our city and the WLA at the Mann Cup for the first time in 19 years. When we heard about the costs associated with getting the team to Ontario, we wanted to find a way to help.”
Campbell added that supporting other local organizations is an important part of what the Express Foundation is intended to accomplish.
“Our community is at its best when our sports organizations support one another. The Adanacs have given Coquitlam something to be incredibly proud of, and we want to help make sure finances aren't a barrier to them representing our city on the biggest stage in Canadian senior lacrosse.”
The Adanacs will join the Express Foundation and Kirmac Cares for Kids as beneficiaries of this year’s tournament.
The Sixth Annual Coquitlam Express Charity Golf Tournament takes place Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at Westwood Plateau Golf & Country Club and brings together local businesses, community leaders, supporters and athletes for a day of golf and fundraising.
