If you’re considering going iceberg chasing next year, here are a few things to consider👇
🍂 The nature is still very dormant, no leaves on the trees and not many flowers
🌡️ The average temperature we experienced was around a max of 4°C during the day, with lots of wind 💨 and more rainy days 🌧️ than sunny ones ☀️
⛴️ Only one of the southern ferries is open, so you’ll have to drive the whole island twice, as the Argentina ferry opens later in June
🥾 The famous hikes in Gros-Morne National Park are closed, the mountain tops are closed for caribou 🦌 and ptarmigan reproduction until June 16th (call ahead to confirm the date)
🐋 The whales and puffins 🐦 haven’t really arrived yet, but are starting to show up! So if you’re coming for those, consider visiting a little later in the summer☀️
The last 14 days on Newfoundland has been a blast! 🎉 We’ve been treated to iceberg viewing! 🧊 We were there from May 25th to June 8th
Hope this helps you plan your trip a little bit! 🗺️❤️
