It is with a very heavy heart that I share some difficult news with our community.
After 10 incredible years, Climbers Corner will be closing its doors.
This has not been an easy decision. Due to ongoing financial challenges, I can no longer sustain the business, despite every effort to keep it going. Making the decision to close has been one of the hardest things I have ever had to do.
When Climbers Corner first opened, my hope was to create more than just a climbing gym. I wanted to create a place where people could challenge themselves, learn, grow, and connect with others who shared a passion for climbing. Over the past decade, that vision became a reality in ways I could never have imagined.
What started as a business became a community. Climbers became friends, friends became family, and the gym became a second home for so many people. I have had the privilege of meeting countless amazing individuals, watching new climbers discover the sport, seeing friendships form, and witnessing the incredible support and encouragement that make the climbing community so special.
To our members, guests, families, youth climbers, and everyone who walked through our doors: thank you. Your loyalty, enthusiasm, and support have meant more than words can express. You helped build something truly special here in Collingwood, and I will always be grateful for the memories we created together.
I also want to extend my deepest thanks to our incredible staff, both past and present. Your hard work, dedication, passion, and commitment helped make Climbers Corner what it was. You welcomed people with open arms, shared your knowledge, ensured safety, created a positive environment, and became an essential part of our climbing family. I could never have done this without you.
While I am heartbroken that this chapter is coming to an end, I am incredibly proud of what we accomplished together over the last 10 years. The friendships, experiences, and sense of community that grew within these walls will stay with me forever.
Thank you for believing in Climbers Corner. Thank you for supporting a local business. Thank you for being part of this journey.
Most of all, thank you for making Climbers Corner more than just a climbing gym.
It has been an honour to serve this amazing community.
