The scale is going down. Great.

But what else are you losing with it?

GLP-1 medications can reduce your appetite so much that eating enough protein becomes difficult. Without proper nutrition and strength training, some of the weight you lose may come from muscle—not only body fat.

A smaller body that is weaker and undernourished is not the result I want for any woman.

A GLP-1 can be a useful tool. But it cannot build your muscle, nourish your body or create the habits you will need long term.

I work alongside your prescribed treatment to support your nutrition, strength, energy and digestion. I don’t replace or interfere with your medical care.

I’m opening five spaces this fall for women who want support beyond the scale.

If you’re in Cobourg or nearby, book a complimentary consultation at my studio.

I hear this from women all the time.

“I’m tired.”
“I don’t feel like myself.”
“My weight is changing.”
“My digestion is off.”
“My bloodwork is not great.”

And somehow we started calling it self-love when we just accept all of it and do nothing.

To me, self love means something very different.

It’s not buying yourself an expensive purse, going for a spa day or telling yourself everything is fine when you don’t feel fine.

Self-love is taking proper care of the body you live in.

Pay attention when something feels off. Ask questions. Eat well. Move. Sleep. Build muscle. Check your bloodwork.

Your body doesn’t just need to look okay.

It needs to feel healthy, strong and alive.

What does self love mean to you now, at this stage of your life?

Do you know how your muscles grow? What actually happens to your muscles when you lift weights?

It’s not just about looking toned or aesthetically pleasing. Muscle is considered an anti-aging asset.

Strong muscles support your metabolism, bones, balance, independence, and the way your body ages. But exercise is only the beginning of the process.
Do you currently lift weights? Comment YES if you do or STARTING if you’re ready to begin.

This is what a snack should do: taste good, keep you satisfied, and actually support your body.

Quick, satisfying, and good for you. Because after 40, random snacking isn’t a strategy.

Your story can imprison you—or empower you. The truth is that, eventually, you have to choose whether to remain defined by what happened to you or begin shaping the life you want to live.

Let’s be honest, midlife women, your body is changing. That part is true.

But becoming weak, exhausted, and unhappy in your body is not something you simply have to accept. But many of you DO.

Eat to support your body. Build muscle. Take your health seriously. And you don’t need to be perfect.

You’re not too old—and it’s definitely not too late.

Want better for yourself? Start today. Take one small step toward feeling stronger, healthier, and more confident—and keep going.

Over 18 years of working with women, I’ve never met a woman who stood in front of the mirror and genuinely admired herself.

Instead, I’ve seen women criticize their bodies, focus on what they want to change, and speak to themselves in ways they would never speak to someone they love.

“What we put out into the world is what we receive back.”

I think the same applies to the body.

If you constantly give it stress, guilt, punishment, restriction, poor sleep, and tell yourself, “I’m too old,” “my metabolism is broken,” or “nothing works for me,” your body is living inside that message every day.

You cannot hate your body into better health.

Midlife is the time to stop fighting it and start listening to it.

Less punishment.
More support.
Less “What’s wrong with me?”
More “What is my body trying to tell me?”

So I’m curious…

What message have you been sending your body lately?

“GLP-1 nutrition” is becoming a booming product category.

Special shakes. Snacks. Supplements. Products marketed specifically to women taking Ozempic, Wegovy or Mounjaro.

Some may be useful. When appetite decreases, getting enough protein, fibre and nutrients can become more difficult.

But you may not need another expensive product.

You need a clear plan to protect your muscle, support digestion, stay hydrated and meet your nutritional needs—especially if you’re experiencing:

• nausea or digestive discomfort
• constipation
• fatigue or weakness
• difficulty eating enough protein
• dehydration
• rapid weight loss
• loss of strength or muscle

GLP-1 medication can help manage appetite and weight. It cannot replace nutrition, strength training or personalised support.

As a registered nutritionist and fitness professional with over 18 years of experience helping women become stronger, healthier and more confident, I can help you understand what your body needs while taking a GLP-1 medication.

Book your complimentary consultation to discuss your symptoms, identify what may be missing and determine whether I’m the right person to support you.

Your medication manages appetite. Your nutrition protects your health.

I finally learned how to make Shuba — Herring Under the Fur Coat.

If you grew up in Russia or the former Soviet Union, you probably know this beloved salad very well. It was on the table for birthdays, New Year’s, holidays… basically any celebration worth eating at. 😂

Funny enough, with all those childhood memories, I had never actually made it myself.

So I finally did — meaning I finally took the time to make it on my own and try preparing it from scratch.

And yes… it was a success.

Herring, potatoes, carrots, beets, eggs, onions — and I even made the mayo from scratch using boiled egg and cottage cheese. It turned out surprisingly delicious, and high of protein.

Food is also culture for me, company, memories and enjoyment.

Sometimes you just eat the Shuba. ❤️

Have you ever tried it?
