The Clinton Radars are excited to announce the acquisition and signing of Erick Gulutzen of Walton. Erick played his minor hockey with the Huron Perth Lakers AAA organization before spending the last four years with the Hanover Barons. Erick was a huge contributor to the Barons when they won the Schmaltz Cup Championship in 2024-25. During his tenure in Hanover, Erick racked up 55 points while playing against the opponents top players each and every night. Erick prides himself on his defensive game, killing penalties and playing tough minutes but can be a key contributor on the offensive side as well. Erick brings a ton of experience and leadership on and off the ice to the Radars organization. Welcome to Radar Nation Erick!!

As previously announced Teegan Middleton was acquired in a trade with the Mount Forest Patriots a few weeks ago. We are super pumped to announce the official signing of Teegan, a hometown Clinton kid!!! Teegan played his minor hockey with the Huron Perth Lakers AAA organization, before being drafted by the Erie Otters of the OHL. Teegan went onto play four seasons with the GOHL Listowel Cyclones, where he put up 48 points in those years, while anchoring the Cyclones defense. Teegan was a key contributor to the Cyclones Sutherland Cup Championship in the 2023-24 season. In 2025-26, Teegan moved onto the Mount Forest Patriots where he put up 31 points in his first PJHL season, while also being awarded the team’s best defensemen. The experience and leadership that Teegan brings to the Radars is definitely something to be excited about. Welcome home Teegan. !!

The Clinton Radars are super pumped to announce the signing of hometown kid, Keaton Middleton. Growing up in Clinton, Keaton played his minor hockey with the Huron Perth Lakers AAA program, before moving onto the Junior B level with the Listowel Cyclones of the GOHL. During his four year tenure with the Cyclones, Keaton was a valuable member of the team’s defensive core, putting up 20 points in the process. He was also part of the Cyclones GOHL Sutherland Cup Championship in 2023-24. Keaton will join his brother Teegan as anchors of the Radars defense for our inaugural season. Welcome home Keaton, Radars Nation are excited to watch you every night!

The Clinton Radars are proud to announce the signing of Jack O’Donnell. Jack played his minor hockey with the Waterloo Wolves AAA organization before being drafted in the 5th round of the OHL Priority Selection Draft by the Guelph Storm. After the draft, Jack played 5 seasons in the GOHL for Elmira Sugar Kings and Listowel Cyclones, where he put up 168 points and scored the overtime winner to clinch the Sutherland Cup Championship for the Listowel Cyclones in the 2023-24 season. Jack brings size and skill to the forward group, but just as important brings a winning attitude and is a true leader in the dressing room. Welcome to Radar Nation Jack!!

We have named Derek Cherrey our Director of Scouting. Here is his picture.

Derek played most of his Minor Hockey in Mitchell up to and including winning All Ontario Championship in 92/93. He then played 11 years Senior AA hockey winning a Championship in 99/00. Derek has coached at all levels of Minor Hockey and the PJHL including a year with the Mitchell Hawks in 2023.

🚨STAFF UPDATES🚨

The Clinton Radars are thrilled to announce the following updates to the coaching staff: Jake Ringuette and Danny Scott are Assistant Coaches and will be coaching the Defence, Jamie Huber and Owen Kerr are assistant coaches and will be coach forwards.

Matt Dalton and Bredon O’Neill are the goaltending coaches

Jamie Huber Bio

Have experience playing all different levels of hockey. Was drafted to the OHL’s North Bay Battalion in 2014. Have won championships in jr.C (2015), jr.B (2017), jr.A (2017) and most recently sr. AA (2026).

Brendan O’Neill Bio

Born and raised in London Ont playing for the London Jr Knights AAA program. Went on to play in the OHL for 3 years followed by 5 years in U-Sports. Once the playing career ended, began coaching with the Elgin Middlesex Canucks AAA program. Have been a goalie coach for 12 years ranging from AAA programs, U-Sports, and the GOHL.

Owen Kerr Bio

Owen Kerr is a forward from Varna, Ontario, whose hockey journey began with the Huron Perth Lakers and at the Clinton Arena. His dedication and work ethic helped him advance to a successful junior hockey career, most recently with the Lone Star Brahmas of the NAHL, where in 2023-24 he helped the lone star Brahmas win the championship and in 2024-25 where he recorded a season high of 25 goals and 22 assists during the 2024–25 season and helped the team make it to the finals of the Robertson Cup Championship.

Owen also completed his first year studying Commerce at Ontario Tech University. Proud of his local roots, he is excited to return to the Clinton Arena to help coach the Clinton Radars.

Danny Scott Bio

Spent three seasons with the Listowel Cyclones, winning a Sutherland Cup championship. He then continued his junior hockey career with the Hanover Barons, where he captured a Schmaltz Cup title, before finishing with the Exeter Hawks. He is now excited to bring his experience and passion for the game into coaching and help develop the next generation of players.

Jake Ringuette Bio

Jake Ringuette. Originally from Goderich, now living in Clinton. Played my minor hockey with the Huron-Perth Lakers from Minor Atom through Minor Midget, before advancing to the OHL where I played 5 seasons with the Saginaw Spirit. Followed by 4 years of Canadian University Hockey with Lakehead and Brock University; finishing with the Brampton Beast of the ECHL at the end of my Senior year at Brock.

Matt Dalton Bio

I played Jr B in St Mary’s and USA and went onto play NCAA at Bemidji State University. In 2009 I played in the NCAA Frozen Four. Played pro for 15 years in NHL, AHL, ECHL, KHL, and Asia
In the 2018 I played in the Olympics and also played in six IIHF World Championships. Looking forward to working with our goaltenders this year and supporting their development.

Coach Announcement 📣 The Clinton Radars are excited to announce the hiring of Brandon Merritt as our new Head Coach for the 2026-27 season.

Brendon Merritt Bio

I was Born and raised in Brantford, Ontario and developed a passion for hockey at an early age. I played AAA hockey in both Brantford and Hamilton. I was drafted by the Guelph Storm before continuing my junior career at the Junior C and Junior B levels, finishing in St. Marys.

Following junior hockey, I went on to play more than 10 years of senior hockey with teams in Seaforth and Petrolia. I have been a Assistant Coach the last few years with the Exeter Hawks 

Now I reside in Lucan with my wife Stacie and daughter Callie. I bring a lifelong passion for the game, strong leadership, and a commitment to developing players both on and off the ice. I have a team-first mindset while emphasizing character, community involvement, and a winning attitude.

Looking forward to seeing Radar nation in full swing back in Clinton!
