Christopher Lake Nature Area

The Christopher Lake Nature Area is 97 hectares of mixed boreal forest. In June 2006, the R.M. of Lakeland #521 dedicated the Nature Area to
Lionel R.J.

The Chrsitopher Lake Nature Area is located 2.5 kms West of the
Village of Christopher Lake, Sask, Canada. On June 27, 2000, the Saskatchewan government through legislation officailly
designated the Christopher Lake Nature Area as a protected area
under 'The Parks Act'. Roy in recogniton of his work in establishing and developing
the Chrsitopher Lake Nature Area and the Circle of Life. There are hiking trails with informational signs and benches throughout the area.

Beautiful new flags flying in the Circle of Life at the Christopher Lake Nature Area. Thank you to the Christopher Lake Legion for donating a new Legion flag. We are proud to honor all those who have served.

And I am excited at the prospect of serving our community in a new role as I run for Reeve in the upcoming District of Lakeland election. I encourage all District ratepayers to get out and vote on July 20th and 27th at the District Office Council Chambers.

More fun at the Christopher Lake Nature Area today.
Donations allowed us to purchase this fabulous Dogi Pot Bag Dispenser so now it is even easier for you to scoop your p**p.
Thanks to the District of Lakeland Public Works crew for installing the post.
And a really big thank you to Rob McAlpine for building new brochure boxes which will be installed at each entrance.
Stay tuned....more upgrades to come!

Great weekend for a hike.
Trails at the Christopher Lake Nature Area are freshly packed so hope you can head out and enjoy!

Trails at the Christopher Lake Nature Area have just been freshly packed today and are in perfect condition for a hike or snowshoe this weekend so head outside and enjoy these warmer days.
New brochure boxes are ready to be installed.
The next big project will be new and updated trail maps that we hope to have in place by spring.

Getting ready to install new trail signage. Rob was the creator and I was the sander and stainer😀 Big thanks to Diana Herzog, Dave & Wanda Witcombe and Scott Sheppard & Jacquie Moore for their generous donations to the Nature Area. Next up is new brochure boxes.
If and when we get snow, we will be packing the trails for some fabulous winter hiking and look forward to seeing you all out there.
