New Program! New to Hockey? Join us August 14-18 for an introduction to hockey before the season starts. Learn to skate and get the basics under your belt in this camp for kids ages 5-8 (born in 2015-2018).

The kids are tired. The coaches are exhausted. But everyone left yesterday afternoon with a smile on their face. This week was a good week: with two ice times per day we were able to break skills down to their raw components. Skating in focused detail, stick handling for all kinds of game situations, shooting - different shots for different scenarios, puck protection, positioning, compete drills, more skating, game situational drills. All work to help each of these kids become better all around hockey players.
Our dry-land sessions worked on overall strength, speed, agility and flexibility, all while having some fun.
And in the classroom we worked on short term and long term goals, actions we can take to move us towards our goals, mental toughness, brain training, and gameplay strategy.
As coaches, we are so grateful for the opportunity to spend this time immersed in supporting the development of these players. We got to know them, learn about their goals, discuss our experience and give them tools to help them take their development into their own hands and be accountable for their own successes. We cannot wait to see what this season and the future holds for each and every one of them.

Coach Darren was a coach before he became a dad, but becoming a dad made him a better, more thoughtful (and more patient!) coach.

We have been thinking about how to better support local hockey development and thought we would try something that is new to us. We are offering memberships, for hockey schools.
We understand that everyone wants to enrol their kids in programs and that it can be challenging if you have been hit hard by inflation, or you have multiple kids involved in sport or maybe you’ve just got a lot on the go and it would be easier to pay monthly rather than all at once when it’s time to register. So we have put together 3 options for memberships that allow you to register for camps, pay monthly, and not pay interest or higher rates.

This quote has always stuck with me. I’ve always been told it’s not what you do with the puck that’s important, but it’s what you can do without the puck that’s even more important. You see all these players with amazing skills, but how good are they when the don’t have the puck on their stick? What are they doing to try and get it back? How are they getting open to receive a pass? This is how you become a complete player. A player that a coach wants to put on the ice; more importantly, trusts to have on the ice. What kind of player do you want to be?

Thank you to everyone who came out over spring break to join us for some fun development training. We had a great time working with all of you and getting to know you. We put in our best effort to support your goals and make the sessions fun and we were rewarded with exceptional effort from everyone.
