I will never forget the old me... and you should never forget the old you, no matter how much you change.
Yep, that’s me on the right that you see there.
BTW, This might be the most important message you hear from me if you’re someone that’s been trying to change their life.
The old me is what paved the way for the new me. So in a twisted way, I am forever indebted to my old self for teaching me what I needed to know about health and vitality.
Being overweight, self-conscious and anxiety ridden teaches you a lot about how to get through life. It teaches you to be humble, yet proud. It teaches you that you’re not invincible and that your body and health is something that requires attentiveness.
I hear too many people that hate themselves with how they look now. They want to change because they’re fed up and done with it... that’s okay, but take a mental snapshot of where you are right now so that you can vividly see where you are at this point in time.
This is YOUR story. You can’t change your past, so own your story because it is what makes you you. It you weren’t ever unhappy with yourself, maybe you wouldn’t be making the subtle changes that you’re making today in order to become healthy and happy and you’d just be floating through life in a mediocre, monotonous flow.
I am proud of weighing 280lbs. So proud that I don’t even talk about it that much. It’s something that I own and am proud of, and if you’re unhappy with your image, cherish that because THAT is what makes you a humble human being.
Take time to reflect and love where you’ve come from, it’s a wild, wild ride. ❤️
