2025 Van Isle 360 Race Schedule

Since acquiring the race in 2011, we have worked hard to build the race with safety as the priority and we feel we cannot violate this guiding principle. For this reason, the 2021 edition of the Van Isle 360 will not occur.

To all of the skippers who contacted us and voiced their support, we thank you.

Knowing now that the 2021 race will not occur, the question is what next?
It is a good question. Based on the currents in Seymour Narrows (ideally a morning ebb) and overnight tide minimums of 7 feet in Telegraph Cove, the available dates in the next two years are as follows.

2022 – Saturday June 4 to Saturday June 18

2023 – Saturday June 3 to Saturday June 17 (Would be facing a morning flood instead of an ebb, same as 2015) The previous week does not work as tides in Telegraph Cove are unacceptable. The week after will not work as accommodations in Winter Harbour will be filled with the start of the fishing season.

Both years would remove the conflict with Swiftsure on the Memorial Day weekend.

Sylvia and I plan on organizing one more race and then retiring.
