Almost everyone who has visited Seaward for purchase, repair or support has met our long time former employee & good friend Francis. His exceptional diligence, knowledge & hard work at Seaward has been appreciated by all that met him.

On top of recently losing his job of 20 years when Seaward recently closed its doors, he lost his house and contents in a horrific home fire.

If you bought a new Seaward in these last many years. It was likely Francis who finished it and made it beautiful. Please consider donating to this GoFundMe to help him restore beauty back into his & his families life.

As Francis Cambran's former employer, I can only say that I have rarely met anyone as hard-working and devoted to a company as he was. For those of you who met him at our facility in Chemainus, I'm sure you'll agree. In the last few months, Francis not only lost his employment of 15+ years but his mom passed and his house was consumed by a fire. He does not deserve this. If anyone can make a donation to the go fund me that his daughter set up, so he and his family can get back on their feet again, I'm sure they would be more than grateful. With a mixture of sadness and gratitude, we would like to announce that after 30 plus years Seaward Kayaks is closing its doors.

We’d like to thank everyone who has supported Seaward through the years – including our loyal customers and hard-working staff. Your dedication contributed overwhelmingly to Seaward’s long-time success.

We are no longer manufacturing kayaks or parts, however, the online store will remain accessible until inventory levels are depleted. We encourage anyone that owns a Seaward kayak and may need replacement parts to order them sooner rather than later.
Spare parts that will or may be difficult to replace include: Fiberglass hatch covers, rudders, seats and seat components, button kits, UHMW keel guards and pedals.

Unfortunately, there is no longer any access to our facility so all items must be shipped.

Once again, we are incredibly grateful for the supportive community that Seaward has enjoyed over decades. We couldn’t have done it without you.
