Public Safety Extends Amnesty Period until after Supreme Court Ruling

"In March 2026, the Supreme Court of Canada agreed to hear an appeal challenging the May 2020 prohibition of assault-style fi****ms. In light of this, the Amnesty Orders have been extended and set to expire 90 days following the date the Supreme Court of Canada renders its decision, which is expected next year. By extending the amnesty period, the Government is providing certainty to individual owners and businesses that they will continue to be protected from criminal liability while the Supreme Court hears the appeal and renders its decision."

Hello Members!!!!

The Chase and District Fish and Game is asking for your support. Our Fish and Game Club is holding a spring raffle!!!
The Chase and District Fish and Club has received significant donations this year, coinciding with our annual 3D shoot. These generous contributions are too valuable to be distributed merely as door prizes, so we are leveraging them to support our fundraising efforts. Specifically, eight substantial donations have been allocated.
Our club requires additional funds to maintain the range (which many people use) and cover ongoing expenses, such as servicing the Phillips Lake toilets (which have to be pumped every 2 weeks). Furthermore, we are facing some costly renovations.
The Spring Raffle is a critical component in ensuring we have the resources necessary for these essential projects. To maximize the impact of this fundraising event, I am asking locals who would like to support our club and its community projects to think about buying a raffle ticket(s). The sales start April 15th, and the prize is drawn at 1 pm on June 1st by Live Feed on our CDFGC page. Tickets are $5 each, with a special offer: purchase a booklet of five tickets for $20 and receive an extra ticket free! So 1 for $5 or 5 for $20.
Even if you don't want or need one of the prizes, perhaps you would like to just support our club by buying a booklet for $20.

All proceeds from ticket sales directly benefit the club, as every prize has been generously donated. We depend on your support; the club executive is small and cannot sell enough tickets alone. It would be a disservice to our donors not to fully utilize these contributions. Please help us sell some tickets. If every member sells just one book of five tickets, we could raise up to $9,000 for the club.

ANNUAL 3D ARCHERY SHOOT is on Sat & Sunday May 2/3rd.
We could use a hand this weekend as well, setting up the course, taking down the course on Sunday and helping out on the weekend. Shooters start to arrive on Friday night, setting up their RV/tents for the weekend. Don't forget there is FREE dry camping. Saturday night is a potluck dinner, so bring a dish and join us, even if you are not a shooter, you are welcome. We have a food truck on site from Friday to Sunday. Registration starts Friday evening, and Sat at 7:00 am, range is open at 8:00 am to start the course. There will be lots of raffles and prizes to be won over the weekend.
