Sometimes it’s the finer details that make the biggest difference.

Having Isaac “The Hooligan” Herbert on our mats was a reminder of just how deep this sport goes. The smallest adjustments, the little details in a grapple, and a wealth of knowledge built through years of training and competing at the highest levels.

But what stood out just as much as the technique was the person sharing it.

Humble. Approachable. Willing to answer questions, explain the little things, and share his knowledge with everyone in the room.

We’re grateful to Isaac for spending the time with our team and giving our small community the opportunity to learn from someone at his level.

These are the experiences that help grow our team, our coaches, and martial arts here in Cape Breton.

Margaree Highland Games recap!

What a day at the Margaree Highland Games!

Cheticamp Martial Arts had an awesome time being part of the action. We kicked things off with some NERF fun, then got everyone on the mats for a martial arts seminar and a chance to experience what CMA is all about.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by, participated, asked questions, cheered the kids on, and helped make the day such a success.

Events like this are what we love most — getting out into our community, meeting new families and giving people a chance to try something new.

And a big thank you to the Highland Games organizers and volunteers for having us and putting together another great community event!

A huge thank you to the Cheticamp Legion for inviting Cheticamp Martial Arts to be part of your 100th Anniversary celebrations this past Saturday. It was an honour to demonstrate what our team is all about and celebrate such an incredible milestone with our community.

Thank you to everyone who came out to watch, cheer us on, and support us. A special thank you goes to all of our amazing volunteers and students who gave their time and represented CMA with professionalism, enthusiasm, and heart.
