Congratulations to all of the outstanding student-athletes recognized at this year's Sports Awards nights at CBH and NDA. The talent, dedication, and hard work on display were truly inspiring.

At PEWNSPORTS, we believe that sport is about much more than wins and losses. Through athletics, young people learn discipline, perseverance, teamwork, leadership, and how to overcome adversity. These lessons will serve them well long after their playing days are over.

This year, PEWNSPORTS was proud to present the first-ever PEWNSPORTS Graduate of the Year Award.

Selecting recipients was no easy task. Both Cape Breton Highlands Education Centre and NDA were represented by many wonderful student-athletes who excelled not only in their sports, but also in their academics, leadership, and service to their school communities.

After careful consideration, Brock Tatum was selected as the PEWNSPORTS Graduate of the Year recipient from Cape Breton Highlands Education Centre, while Jacob Poirier was selected as the recipient from NDA.

Congratulations to Brock and Jacob on this well-deserved recognition. Your dedication, perseverance, leadership, and commitment to excellence make you outstanding representatives of your schools, your teams, and your communities.

Best wishes as you begin the next chapter of your journey. Take the lessons you have learned through sport with you—they will continue to serve you well for years to come.
