If you’re joining us at the Laughs on Ice Fundraiser, all winning items will be available for pickup at the hall. And remember—if you don’t want to keep checking your phone during the event, we’ll have volunteers available to help place bids on your behalf.

We are just 29 hours away from the doors opening for our SOLD OUT Laughs on Ice Fundraiser! 🎉

Doors will open at 4:30 PM, with supper getting underway around 5:30 PM.

We’re excited to have comedian Johnny Pogo take the stage from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM, followed by a social and dance to keep the night going!

Auction Info:

Online auction items will begin closing at 9:00 PM Saturday night
If you’re attending and win an item, it will be available for pickup at the hall
Don’t want to be glued to your phone? No problem—we’ll have volunteers available to help place bids on your behalf during supper

We’ll also have:

A great selection of Silent Auction items at the hall
50/50 draw
Raffle items

🚨 WE NEED YOUR HELP 🚨

As many of you know, our ice plant went down at the beginning of February. Despite multiple repair attempts and doing everything we possibly could, it is no longer operational. Our season was cut short, and without immediate action, the future of curling in our community is at serious risk.

If we want to be open for the 2026/27 season, we need to start rebuilding — and we need to start now.

We are officially launching our fundraising efforts, and this is going to take all of us.

Our first major fundraiser is a Comedy & Dance Night on April 11, 2026 at the Halkirk Community Hall.
(We know it’s not in Castor — due to hall availability and our comedian’s schedule, this was our only option.)

This isn’t just another event.
This is about saving our rink.

We will also be sending out sponsorship letters in the coming days. If you would like one for yourself or your business, please reach out — every dollar truly matters right now.

The reality is simple: without community support, there is no ice.
And without ice, there is no curling.

We are asking you to stand with us. Attend the event. Sponsor. Share. Support however you can.
