East Central Spring Hockey

East Central Spring Hockey Creating Spring Hockey Development in East Central Alberta. Evaluations for the Spring Team will take place in the first three weeks of development.

Our Programing
We have designed a program that we feel is inclusive of all players with the integrity of a high caliber Spring Team being the focus, but with strong development opportunities for all registered players. All players will have a multitude of development opportunities tailored to their caliber and selected players will have game/tournament opportunities. All registered players will h

ave the opportunity to play in a 3 on 3 tournament in March as part of the development. This will give the evaluators and coaches the best opportunities to see the girls in a more relaxed setting, opposed to a one day try out. Selected players will pay an additional fee to cover game and tournament costs. Each age group, U13 and U15 will take a maximum number of 25 registered players and first 3 goalies to register . 15 skaters and 2 goalies will be awarded spots on the Spring Team. All sessions will take place in Castor Arena with the exception of some exhibition games and the Calgary tournament. The full program will start with the 3 on 3 tournament March 15/16th and run until May 12th.

The Spring season is always one for the books…
It’s not the wins or losses… it’s the fast paced games, the team meals, the push for a little more hockey after the winter season is over. Most importantly it’s what the season teaches. It throws together a group of girls, who most have not played together before and it builds a TEAM and it builds it very quickly.
Athletes who have battled on the ice against each other or fought against one another for last spots on teams at try outs, and it throws them in the dressing room to hope for the best turn out.
The U18 Eagles showed this spring what real sportsmanship is. It’s welcoming new team mates with open arms, it’s lending a supportive hand when games are tough, it’s celebrating everyone’s success in the moments. This team of ladies were a force to be reckoned with yet also created and strengthened friendships in a short time. Their success on the ice showed their determination and commitment to the sport.
We had the best season Eagles, we hope you all came away from it feeling proud. 🦅
