Another opportunity to play pickleball in the municipality...for free

🎾 PICKLEBALL WEEK 1 UPDATE! 🎾

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the first week of our FREE Adult Drop-In Pickleball program at the Keeler Centre!

We were excited to welcome players to the courts and see our community enjoying this fast-growing sport. Based on feedback and participation in Week 1, the Parks & Recreation Department is pleased to continue offering pickleball on Thursday afternoons and POSSIBLY Friday afternoons, allowing local players to enjoy both pickle ball programs at the keeler centre and the Colborne Pickleball Club without conflict.

A few reminders for participants:
🏓 Adults Only
🏓 2 courts available
🏓 Up to 24 participants can be accommodated through paddle rotation and 11-point games
🏓 4 paddles and balls are available for use (first come, first served)
🏓 Participants are encouraged to bring their own paddles
👟 Court shoes are strongly recommended for player safety and to help protect the playing surface

Whether you're a seasoned player or new to the game, we invite you to join us next Thursday and give pickleball a try!

Fat Pappy's canteena will be open to tomorrow June 20 from 8:30-3:00 during the ball tournament. Stop by and grab lunch. NOTE: the canteena will NOT be open Sun. June 21 to give our staff additional study time for their exams

UPDATE: all of our staff are high school students who are now writing year end exams. With this is mind Fat Pappy's will not be open tonight (June 17) or Sunday (June 21) evening to give them time to study. Fat Pappy's will be open Sat. June 20 during the ball tournament hours which are TBD.
