📣 WE’RE STILL LOOKING TO FILL KEY VOLUNTEER ROLES

The CMHA is currently seeking volunteers for the following important positions:

🏆 Tournament Coordinator

Responsibilities include:
• Scheduling tournament dates and securing BC Hockey sanctions
• Managing tournament communications and team registrations
• Working with division reps and tournament committees
• Helping create fun, organized, and successful tournaments for all participants

🦓 Referee-in-Chief

Responsibilities include:
• Overseeing officiating assignments and supporting referee scheduling
• Addressing officiating concerns as they arise
• Coordinating referee clinics and referee development opportunities

These roles are vital to ensuring smooth operations and a great experience for players, officials, and families.

📢 Now Hiring: Referee Scheduler (CMHA)

CMHA is looking for an organized and reliable Referee Scheduler to join the team for the hockey season! 🏒

What you’ll do:

Schedule officials for league, exhibition, and playoff games
Coordinate with the Ref‑in‑Chief, division managers, and ice scheduler
Manage last‑minute changes and ensure all games are properly staffed
Keep records for assignments and payments
What we’re looking for:

Strong organization, communication, and problem‑solving skills
Experience with scheduling tools (Spordle is an asset)
Ability to handle fast‑paced updates and work evenings/weekends
Professionalism and attention to detail

📅 Contract: Annual (seasonal role)
💲 Compensation: Set by CMHA Board

Castlegar Minor Hockey is now accepting applications for the following Head Coach positions:

🔹 U11A Development Team
🔹 U13 Rep Team
🔹 U15 Wildcats Female Team
🔹 U18 Rep Team

We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals who are committed to player development, team success, and creating a positive hockey environment for our athletes.
Previous coaching experience is preferred, but motivated applicants willing to complete required coaching certification are encouraged to apply.

Castlegar & District Minor Hockey is looking for dedicated volunteers to join our team for the upcoming season!

These roles are essential to helping us provide a safe, fun, and well-organized hockey experience for our players and families. If you’re looking to get involved and make a meaningful impact in our hockey community, we’d love to hear from you!

📌 CURRENT OPENINGS:

🏆 Tournament Coordinator
• Schedule tournament dates and secure BC Hockey sanctions
• Manage tournament communications and team registrations
• Work with division reps and tournament committees

• Lead risk management and safety initiatives within the association
• Stay current with BC Hockey / Hockey Canada safety requirements

• Step in for the President when required

These volunteer roles are a great opportunity to build connections, support local youth, and contribute to the success of minor hockey in our community — both on and off the ice.

Congratulations to Victoria Thiessen on winning the free registration 🎉

We’re excited to welcome back our returning board members, and to introduce our newly elected members, Sophie Biagioni, Tami Bate and Lisa Lynch Colson. We’re looking forward to another great season together!

We’d also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our retiring board members, Ashlee Maio, Jaqueline Hood, Bretney Bontje and Kim Idler. We are so grateful for the time and dedication you’ve given to our association.
