Notre 4e et dernier finissant de la semaine, ainsi que candidat à notre Bourse Fier Viking, est Christian Séguin! 🎓⭐️

Chris a commencé le hockey plus t**d que la plupart, joignant l’Association de hockey mineur de Casselman à U13, mais débutant au niveau U11 comme tout nouveau patineur. Grâce à son travail acharné, il a rapidement progressé et est retourné dans son groupe d’âge l’année suivante.
Gardien dévoué, Chris a aussi pris une pause avant de revenir pour sa dernière saison — bouclant la boucle avec U18B1 sous la direction de son premier entraîneur, Marc Desjardins.
Le hockey lui a permis de grandir autant sur la glace qu’en dehors, en développant sa résilience, son esprit d’équipe et son attitude positive. Sa dernière saison a été remarquable, avec une excellente moyenne de buts alloués et plusieurs blanchissages. 🥅✨

Félicitations, Chris, pour ton parcours incroyable! 👏🎉

Our 4th and final graduate of the week, and a candidate for our Fier Viking Scholarship, is Christian Séguin! 🎓⭐️

Chris started hockey later than most, joining the Casselman Minor Hockey Association at the U13 level, but beginning at the U11 level as a brand-new skater. Thanks to his hard work, he progressed quickly and returned to his age group the following year.
A dedicated goaltender, Chris also took a break before coming back for his final season—coming full circle with the U18B1 team under the guidance of his very first coach, Marc Desjardins.
Hockey has helped him grow both on and off the ice, building his resilience, team spirit, and positive attitude. His final season was outstanding, with an excellent goals-against average and several shutouts. 🥅✨

Congratulations, Chris, on your incredible journey! 👏🎉

Nous célébrons aujourd’hui notre 3e finissant de la semaine, Benjamin Buteau, également candidat pour notre Bourse Fier Viking. 🎓⭐️

Ben a commencé le hockey à l’âge de 5 ans à Ottawa. Il est devenu un Viking dès le U11 et s’est rapidement démarqué par sa détermination. Défenseur stratégique et fiable, il joue avec intensité et constance, protégeant son territoire comme un véritable pilier pour son équipe.🏒
Au fil des saisons, Ben a appris autant de ses victoires que de ses défaites, développant confiance et maturité. Sans être tape-à-l’œil, il est un joueur incontournable qui se présente toujours prêt à travailler plus fort que ses adversaires.
Sa dernière saison a été particulièrement significative, puisqu’il a eu la chance de jouer aux côtés de son frère. Elle s’est conclue par une 1re place au district 🥇 — une excellente façon de terminer son parcours.
Ben, ton engagement, ta persévérance et ta passion pour le hockey sont inspirants. ✨

Ben began playing hockey at age 5 in Ottawa and became a Viking in U11, quickly standing out for his determination. A strategic and reliable defenseman, he brings intensity and consistency to the game, serving as a strong presence on the ice. 🏒
Over the years, Ben has learned from both wins and losses, building confidence and maturity. While not flashy, he is a dependable and impactful player who consistently outworks his opponents.
His final season was especially meaningful, as he had the opportunity to play alongside his brother. It ended with a 1st place finish in the district 🥇— a great way to close his hockey journey. Ben, your dedication, perseverance, and love for the game are truly inspiring. ✨

JOUR 2 – Présentation de nos finissants Vikings 🎓🎉

Aujourd’hui, nous poursuivons notre semaine hommage à nos diplômés de la cohorte 2026!
Nous rappelons également qu’un de ces joueurs recevra la Bourse Fier Viking. ✨

Yanik Bourbonnais 🏒

Yanik a commencé le hockey à l’âge de 5 ans, même s’il rêvait déjà d’y jouer avant même de savoir patiner. Après 3 saisons avec les Vikings, il a poursuivi son parcours avec les Ice Dogs avant de revenir à l’AHMC après la pandémie. Joueur offensif talentueux, reconnu pour sa vitesse, son puissant lancer et son intensité constante, Yanik a toujours donné son 100 % sur la glace. Les entraîneurs ont toujours pu compter sur lui pour exécuter les jeux et mettre en valeur ses coéquipiers.

Le hockey lui a appris la discipline, le respect et l’engagement, mais surtout l’importance de la camaraderie et de la famille au sein des Vikings. Il termine sa carrière de hockey mineur comme meilleur marqueur de son équipe U18B2 — une preuve de son talent naturel et de sa passion pour le jeu.

DAY 2 – Introducing Our Viking Graduates 🎓🎉

Today, we continue celebrating our graduating Class of 2026!
We also remind everyone that one of these players will receive the Proud Viking Scholarship. ✨

Yanik Bourbonnais🏒

Yanik started playing hockey at age 5, even though he had dreamed of playing long before he could skate. After 3 seasons with the Vikings, he continued his journey with the Ice Dogs before returning to the AHMC following the pandemic. A talented offensive player known for his speed, powerful shot, and consistent intensity, Yanik always gave 100% on the ice. Coaches could always count on him to execute plays and help his teammates shine.

Hockey taught him discipline, respect, and commitment, but most importantly, the value of teamwork and family within the Vikings organization. He finishes his minor hockey career as the leading scorer on his U18B2 team — a reflection of his natural talent and passion for the game.

Congratulations and all the best moving forward, Yanik!👏❤️
