Beginner Riding Instructor (Coach in Training)

Infinity Equine is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as a Beginner Riding Instructor (Coach in Training).
This position is ideal for someone with a strong horse background who is passionate about teaching and wants to develop into a certified equestrian coach. We are not necessarily looking for someone who is already licensed—we are looking for the right person who is eager to learn, grow, and build a long-term coaching career.
The successful candidate will work closely with our Head Coach and Owner, receiving mentorship and hands-on coaching experience while learning to deliver lessons within the Infinity Equine program.

Compensation & Advancement
We believe in investing in our coaches and providing a clear pathway for growth.
Assistant Coach (Registered Coach with Equestrian Canada): $25/hour
* Assists with lessons and programs under the supervision of senior coaches.
Coach in Training (Rider Levels Complete, Teaching Independently): $30/hour
* Teaching beginner lessons independently while continuing coach development.
EC Instructor / Competition Coach Status Achieved: $35+/hour
* Wage based on certification level, experience, responsibilities, and contribution to the program.
Responsibilities
* Assist with and teach beginner riding lessons
* Follow the established Infinity Equine lesson curriculum and teaching program
* Ensure all lessons are conducted in a safe, positive, and professional manner
* Assist students with horse handling, grooming, tacking, and untacking
* Help evaluate rider progress and communicate with senior coaches
* Participate in coach development and training opportunities
* Promote a positive and inclusive barn culture
* Maintain professionalism with clients, students, and staff
Qualifications
* Strong horse handling and riding experience
* Passion for teaching and working with children and adults
* Positive attitude and willingness to learn
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Reliable, professional, and safety-focused
* Must be at least 18 years of age
* Valid driver’s license required
Preferred but Not Required
* Previous teaching, camp, or lesson assistant experience
* Equestrian Canada Rider Levels
* Previous coaching certifications
* Experience working in a lesson program
Professional Development Expectations
Infinity Equine will provide mentorship and guidance toward achieving Equestrian Canada coaching certification. Candidates must be willing to work toward and maintain all certifications required by Equestrian Canada and the Alberta Equestrian Federation. Successful candidates should have a genuine interest in continuing their education and developing as professional coaches.
Reporting Structure
This position reports directly to Jill Fuselli, Head Coach, and Heidi Pratt, Owner. The successful candidate must be willing to follow and teach the Infinity Equine lesson program and coaching philosophy.
