Parkinson Ottawa Olympic Games There is no longer a World Parkinson's Games. Fear not. I am in the process of creating a smaller event in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

This is a special sporting event created for people with Parkinson's. I'll update this page as things develop

Some bad news. I have to postpone the games. Some family stuff has come up. Thank you to everyone who is following this adventure. This is not the end. It's just a little road block for now. The games will happen.

I'll be meeting with a potential event planner this month. If I book with them, I'll be able to let you know the venue and the date of the event.

I can tell you that there will be 2 track events, pickleball, table tennis and boxing.

It should be a fun day.

I have officially changed the name of this page. It is now known as Parkinson Ottawa Olympic Games.

The Games have been cancelled yet again. Needless to say, I have lost all confidence in this organization and will not be participating in any future events if they even try again.
I will no longer be posting on this site.

The Games are back on!!! This time they will be in June. June 23-25th, 2023 to be exact. More to come as I find out more!!

If any of my Canadian followers want to go, let me know. I'd love to see you there!!!

Hello everyone. Just thought I'd check in and let you know that I've started planning my own fundraising event that will end on what would have been the last day of the games, August 6th. The money I raise from this event will go towards my Parkinson's SuperWalk campaign. Stay tuned for details once I figure this out.

I'm very disappointed today. I received an email from the organizers of the games stating that the games have been cancelled for this year. The reasons given were Covid, Putin, high airfare and the late introduction of participation fees.
I was really looking forward to this event and I hope it takes place next year as they say it will.
