VARSITY SPRING PROGRAM REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN 💥

Our Varsity CrossFit Spring Program will run Tuesday's & Thursday's at 5PM for 10 weeks starting April 12th to June 16th.

Each session is a 60 minute coach led class and athletes will be instructed through a warm up, workout and cool down.

Your teen will be provided with individual scaling options and coaching cues to ensure the quality and safety of their movements while also getting the community experience.

The Varsity Spring Program is designed to introduce teens to building healthy lifestyle habits through fitness in a fun yet mature atmosphere.

CROSSFIT OPEN SCHEDULE ANNOUNCEMENT📢

We have added Friday classes to accommodate our athletes who have registered for the 2022 NoBull CrossFit Open! Be sure to check out the schedule on Push Press to sign up now!

Additional Info:
➡️Depending on number of athletes registered for each time slot & awaiting what the announcement will unfold for each week’s workout, we will be running the workouts in HEATS with staggered start times.

*These will be posted on the Whiteboard in the gym. Be sure to communicate with Jayme or Pete which start time you would need. (Sign ups for class on the schedule still apply).

➡️If you’ve registered for The Open your workout just be scored by a Judge.
➡️ If these dates & times do not work for you please let us know so we can try and accommodate you.

Two weeks until the start of the 2022 CrossFit Open 🕐🙌🏻

Join us in this 3 week online global CrossFit event and jump in on being apart of something bigger than crushing a solo workout! Don’t get us wrong, having the mental fortitude to train alone shows grit and determination. BUT - being supported by others when you’re in that red zone trying to lift as much as YOU can or trying to hang in to that pull up bar for just ONE more toes to bar or simply working your butt off until the timer goes off to squeeze in one last rep is so much more FUN with friends!

Here are the deets:

▪️3 Workouts in 3 Weeks
▪️Accessible for all experience levels (scaling options available!)
▪️Inclusive for everybody (age categories available!)
▪️No excuses 👊🏻

Our doors open tomorrow morning bright and early at 7AM for the first class of the day! 🙌🏻

We are stoked to see everybody dive right back into their fitness like we know you can. We’ve proven already that we have the mental fortitude to keep breaking down those obstacles in our way that are out of our control.

We’ve also got the CrossFit Open around the corner and want to showcase what we’ve got as Ottawa’s newest CrossFit affiliate. 🙌🏻

Attention CrossFit Bearing Fortitude Members 🚨

It is with regret that we have to once again send out a message pertaining to entering another state of a lockdown. It is disheartening to say the least that gyms are undervalued an essential service to the overall health and well-being of society.

We want to first and foremost thank everybody for their continued support and commitment to the gym as well as displaying the definition of perseverance in themselves through this process.

Starting Wednesday, January 5th scheduled classes will be cancelled.

We want to continue to support you during this closure (once again) as we value the importance of community, consistency and commitment.

Please reach out to us via email, text or social media to learn more about how we will continue to stay connected and dedicated to your health and fitness goals.

Nobody Cares. Train Harder. 👊🏻

Just kidding… we care and wish everybody a good week and a half off training in the gym and spending that time with family and friends over the holidays.

Get outside, stay active and enjoy your using your fitness for other activities during this time. Or, relax and rest up, enjoy that heavy meal, your favourite desserts and some holiday treats.🍰🥂

Today is our last day before we close for the holidays so be sure to get signed up and get after our 12 Days of Christmas workout 🎄

We will resume scheduled classes on January 3rd, 2022.

Sport Specific Training is a great way to target exactly what you need to improve your fitness in a transferable way to the sport that you play.

⛸This group’s session focused on a circuit-based workout that allowed for high-intensity with built in rest intervals which will help them on the ice with their anaerobic capacity!

💥Strength, Power & Explosiveness were our focus for this session.

Find yourself just “hanging on” until the weekend?

Implementing:
✔️Routine
✔️Balance
✔️Exercise
✔️Time for yourself
✔️Time with your partner
✔️Time with your friends

Can quickly remove that feeling of chasing down the week just to get to Saturday.

This mornings 7AM crew CHOOSING to show up today despite being:
✨A stay at home mom with 3 kids under the age of four
✨A first responder dealing with shift-work, dad, business owner
✨A first responder dealing with shift-work, out until 2:30AM with little sleep
✨A full-time student who works and is a competitive athlete with a jam packed schedule

Not included in this photo:
✨A mom with a full-time job, a side hustle, a part-time student with passion for coaching on the side
✨A 33 week pregnant soon-to-be mom, up several time a night, athlete, volunteer coach and business owner

The days of the week are going to keep rolling through. How you choose to spend them is up to you!

Spending time doing things that you’re already good at or that you enjoy are typically easy. We do them without hesitation. We do them often. We do them because we know we’ll succeed before we’ve even started.

Doing things that challenge you or put you outside of your comfort zone because you have the will to improve, the determination to make your weaknesses your strengths and the desire to leave everything you’ve got on the table is a much harder task. The fear of the unknown is what stands in our way.

Next time something intimidates you or makes you want to shy away, but you know is good for you. Attack it head on👊🏻

You’ll thank yourself later!

Progress is never linear. It does not always reflect forward motion.

Growth, however, is the process of change. It moves forward, stumbles backwards, has pauses and lateral movement, but it creates change.

Your journey to succeeding is going to have unknowns. It’s going to have potential set backs at largely it will have things occur that are out of your control, both good and bad - how you respond to those circumstances is what defines you and the outcome.

This long time member and competitive athlete suffered a meniscus injury in early September and has demonstrated phenomenal mental perseverance to take the necessary steps to getting herself back to a position where she can compete. At just 14 she is celebrating her victories, no matter how small, and putting in the work despite it not always being where she wants it to be. This will make her stronger and she knows it.

Way to go Jay 👏🏻
