The guys are certainly not getting their weekly fix of Men’s night golfing lately. Darn weather.
Next week golfing starts at 5:10
The meal will be Taco Soup, Pulled pork, a few chicken wings and anything else we have in the deep freeze. Please phone the clubhouse if you wish to stay for supper.

Our Final Pairs night will be this Thursday, September 17.
Play action begins with a sh***un start at 5:20. It sure is getting dark early these days! 😩. Golfing will be followed by Bacon Cheeseburgers and a couple salads and dessert. Please phone the clubhouse if you wish to stay for the meal. There will be door prizes and a chance to win a 50/50.

We held our Members & Friends tournament on Saturday, September 12.
All 23 golfers who participated had a great time (despite the cool temp)
Big Thanks to Kevin Slykhuis for smoking the roast beef.
Everyone went home a winner but with a lightning speed of only 48.64 seconds Brian and Bertha got the ball in on hole #3 It was the speed hole requiring a partner to complete.
Congratulations to Glenda Zackrisson from Weyburn who WON the Co****le Toss Game which was donated by Monster Enterprise. Thank you so much Graham Carter the golf course was able to generate $365 on this raffle.
Thanks again to all our Members who supported this event.

As the season starts winding down to a close, the Carlyle Golf Club wishes to recognize one of its own. Debbie Fraser is ending her seventh year as a full-time employee at the clubhouse. Her cheery “Good Morning , Carlyle Golf Club” has been heard by hundreds of you over the years. And the good news? She is indeed coming back in 2027! Thank you for your wonderful personality and your friendly and impeccable service!

Pictured is our signature tree located on the second hole of the Carlyle Golf Course. Retired golf superintendent Steve Polsom provided some background on its history. Evidently, many decades ago when the circus came to town, their star elephant was tethered to this tree. Long time resident golfer Johnny Bax, who has since passed away, christened it the “Elephant Tree”. And now you know.
To many of the senior golfers who routinely strike it on their second hole drive, they have another name for it!
