RACC Rookie Rockers With the help of coaches trained by the OCA and the OVCA, 30 brand-new curlers are participating in a 12-week program to learn how to curl.

In October 2015, the RA Curling Club started its second season of a 12-week instructional league on Monday nights. The purpose of the league is to allow new and almost-new curlers to have fun while gaining an appreciation for the fundamentals of the game. Under the watchful guidance of our fully-trained instructors, participants will learn the no-lift forward slide delivery, proper sweeping techni

ques, and basic strategy. Our program is based on a curriculum developed by the Canadian Curling Association (CCA), which has been taught to new curlers all over the world. This league is open to all RA members aged 18 and up. In our first season (2014-2015), 24 people graduated from our program. In 2015-2016, we welcome 30 new curlers!
